I'm disappointed that SE went with this approach. Having to buy a magazine I'm not even interested in, wait 3 months to get all the codes AND then having to take a photo of myself and send it to them for the chocobo?

Well, I wasn't looking forward to dealing with a promotion thing to begin with, when (if they really want to sell the stuff over other means of getting it) the process could be made simpler via... oh, I don't know, the CASH SHOP! However, I was willing to drop a $20 (converted to £) exchange to get all this stuff.
But this? This, is way way beyond that - Not only is this more expensive than the way simpler and less scummy NA promotion, but it's also locked beyond a time period as well as needing a photo of myself!? Nope, not a chance, I can pass on the items if this is the only way a UK player can get them - I have no idea why this was given the go-ahead, it's beyond stupid and is essentially a massive middle finger to UK players when such a thing as the NA promotion exists... in fact, even if it didn't this would still be a pretty firm one along with a complete display of lack of familiarity with EU regions (magazines are dead, btw, SE).
You should feel ashamed.
TL;DR - Pass! Will hope that these become available via simpler and less obnoxious means.
Good day.
Why would I send a picture of myself to some publiciation that hasn't been stocked in stores for a decade now?
Don't forget the recent Live Letter. They didn't even mention the European playerbase at all, instead referring to the English speaking audience as 'American'. Aside from the numerous European players on the actual EU servers I and many other Europeans play on the NA servers. I imagine quite a few Europeans also play on the Japanese servers too.

Just adding my voice to the "not impressed" crowd![]()

Yeah can you move to an EU server already and Lauront too :P <3
This is just a slap in the face after the amazon/american promotion. Completely outrageous.

Im glad im not the only one who thinks this promotion deal is a complete farce -_-
I don't post much in forums, I'm usually the guy that is just minding their own business playing the game, but this is absolutely not okay.
There is simply no excuse for how much EU got absolutely looked down upon and screwed on this matter. So, Japan gets to go to a convenience store and buy drinks and they imediately get the rewards. NA gets to buy whatever they want and they, also imediately get the rewards.
EU not only has to go through a super convuluted method that involves spending more cash than NA, but also requires you to post a picture of YOURSELF holding the 3 codes, and gets basically nothing besides the items? NA basically got them for free, we have to pay more than them and we basically just get the items.
Not to mention how most other territories in the EU get extra screwed by, ya know, having to wait even more! If they even get the campaign. Portugal sure ain't. Thanks a bunch Square.
I honestly don't understand why not just add this to the cash shop. It certainly would get them more revenue than this absolute disaster of a campaign...
