So, Here's the Question: to PvP or Not to PvP (Poll Link)

The thread is about seeing who does/doesn't do PvP. My opinion is moot, I just said what camp I'm in. The final question in the introduction is, "where do you fall".

Then you could have just as easily said "I don't like PvP, but to each their own" no need to phrase it as "I'm in the "stop wasting development resources on this" side of the argument, but then again, to each their own" if you wanted to throw your opinion in there. It's unnecessarily negative. As is this "No. (This is the "kill it with fire" option)". Not everyone saying "no" agrees with that, maybe they're saying no because they've never tried it. Poles are generally supposed to be neutral.

Also, tbh, since this is the General Section of the forums. I can almost guarantee that this is going to have more "no"s than "yes"s anyway. Most of the people who post in the PvP section don't really seem to post in/go to the General Section.

Selli is right though, you seem to be trying to push it a bit more towards the "burn it" side.
There should be 2 options for No as well
"No I dont like it/don't play it"
"No, stop using resources on it"
Just because someone doesn't like or play pvp doesn't mean they think it should go away

I voted but I personally could do without. Honestly I am probably the plague on the PVP scene along with anyone else who only does it for the glamour or items. I have zero interest in pvp and that gear I got with the marks for glamour I do not wear it in pvp as it goes right back into my retainer after I am done glamouring. Don't get me wrong though, I don't AFK or sit around. I do have pvp skills and I do try my best but I also am not going to rage if we win or lose.

Selli has a good point. And let's not dance around things here. PvP is enjoyed by a minority crowd in the community. We're probably even smaller than the raiding community. So I ask you this: IF the devs were to consider getting rid of it purely based on popularity, and thus alienating and possibly driving away players who DO enjoy it, who would be next? Raiders are a minority too; would raids get the cut next? Before the last relic step, few if any bothered with CT. So that can go too, right? Fem Roes are far lesser seen; do we get rid of them too?

THAT is how you kill a game. Pointing out a small part of the community and saying "you and what you enjoy don't matter. It's a waste of resources." Your poll is skewed in its metrics, and only proves what we all know: PvP isn't popular among the majority of the playerbase. But some DO enjoy it even if you aren't one of them. Swap PvP for something you like and ask the same question, then ask yourself if that sounds legit.

I generealy like PvP, but I consider the bonuses (glamour, mounts and tomes) as my motivation for this. (Wish the skills were useable in PvE though)

So do you feel the same way about verminion? How about "ugly" glamours, you can take any aspect of any game that is in the minority and make this claim, yet it's pvp that gets this the most? I think you might be confusing your experience due to the people or your performance in it vs pvp itself as game content.
