We're waiting with bated breath! Get on with it!

... actually, a significant amount of Othard's geography can sort of be gleaned from the Xaela tribe descriptions.

Aside from Doma, which is probably (or rather was probably) an island nation off the Eastern coast...

In the north is a great mountain range and glaciers. In the south of the continent is a great desert, on the northern border of which is a system of limestone caverns. There is a coast in the east, as well as another (the same?) mountain range the Raen hail from. The west seems to be a vast steppe (grassland). A great river splits the steppe in half, running (presumably) from north to south. Wild animals include tigers and horses (not horse-birds).

    Ryuji got the rest.

I found this rough, estimated map to be quite helpful when I was writing my Xaela-lady's backstory. Helps to visualize her path, to figure out which tribes she might run into in which terrain, and so on (sorry, it's in German).

(Note that it is actually unknown how vast a certain area is, the map creator just went by the descriptions given in the Au Ra lore post.)

Non-crossed out tribe names are specifically mentioned to live in said area, crossed-out ones are assumed to live there based on their style of living and the like.
The Raen are known to live in the Eastern Mountain valleys, so I guess it's safe to assume that at least some of the major Raen cities would be located there.
As for Rabanastre/Dalmasca - this is just 100% speculation at this point, but if they are somewhat reminicent of the FFXII version, it might be a desert town in the South.

    Translations:
    Azim-Steppe = Azim steppe
    Westküste = western coastline
    Südliche Wüsten = southern deserts
großer innerer Fluss = great inner river
östliche Gebirgsregionen u. ewige Gletscher = eastern mountain area + everlasting glaciers
    nördliche Gebirgskette = northern mountains
    zerklüftetes Grenzland = cliffy borderlands

Hey, thanks for the awesome map, Atoli! I'm surprised it puts the Haragin on the western coast; I suppose that WOULD put Limsa as the closest port, then, assuming these are the only continents in the games world.

Interestingly enough, they aren't - there's an Americas-esque New World that has been confirmed to exist West of Aldenard/Eorzea. It's where the Mamool Ja are from. That's not especially relevant, mind, since you'd be traveling Westward towards Aldenard's east coast, but even then Limsa isn't the closest port. It's still as likely a place to dock as any - Eastern Thanalan doesn't seem to have any ports, nor does the Shroud, and I imagine the Jade Sea between Othard and Aldenard is secured by Garlemald anyways - but you'd need to sail below Aldenard's southern tip and up North again a bit further to get to Limsa, past Western Thanalan (which has Vesper Bay as a port to dock at).

Little late for the party but Limsa makes the most sense seeing as they were the only city-state to actively offer help to the refugees even if Limsa couldn't offer them homes due to the limited room in the island nation.
