I'd like to throw in that they should just remove the weather effects from racing. From what I can tell, the nearly constant rain that happens, particularly with tracks like Sagolii, essentially makes Fair weather birds be at a significant handicap for most, if not all, of a given race. Even after their old nerf to the effects, the fact it's still a nearly constant handicap just makes getting Fair weather birds seem like you might as well give up, even if you happen to luck out with the other RNG stuff (like 20 star birds).

Well first off they are gonna add more chocobo challenges and probably increasing the max rank. Weather effects are pretty much set on challenges. Random when its in a zone. Weather bonus/weakness for breeding is pretty bad. The last challenge does play a small part if your bird has a poor stat in rain weather.
