Well we be-friended beast men in the story, Qiquirn can be seen in Limsa, Gobies in Idlshire so why can't we do the same with others ?
Plus, lorely speaking it may fit, Eorzea is at war with Garlemald and it does not only concerns the human, beast men will probably be extreminated by Garlemald so we could all join our forces to fight
Althought, i don't really like the idea of playing an already existing (in Eorzea world) race :/
People don't know how to take criticism anymore, and bad play is rewarded with with a coddling mentality. Yes, this is a casual game for the most part - that doesn't mean people need to walk on eggshells in fear of getting reported for pointing out things. This whole 'please don't say anything even slightly negative' mentality that we seem to be going towards and the devs seemingly pushing towards it is creating a disturbing trend.

I would love to see Viera race added. I already have a free company "People of the Wood" and my estate is named Eruyt Warren. Also have alts named Furan Biera and Hattori Bunzo. If they go by the mythology, the males and females live separately. There could be quests between the villages. I'd like to see a Black Shroud expansion. There could be a lead-in quest that would allow you access the hidden viera villages. It could even be a level 50 quest and all viera who do not meet the requirements to access the quest could be members of a lost herd in search of warren to call home. There could even be a new housing inspired by the viera.![]()
They could always make them a non-playable race in the Shroud. Like, if they expanded it to include a more traditional Fae woods area in the Black Shroud.
Edit: I think some of the lore of FF12 could be used, and they could be implimented as elementals in corporeal forms. Or, just one of the forms they can take at least. It would be interesting to travel into an area of the Shroud that isn't leased for outsiders or Gridanians. Something in like warped space or something.

Now that the fanfest is closing in revealing some news on the new expansion, we could talk about the possibility of a veira race or some beastial type one. I for one am still looking towards the viera's more.
Though I really wouldn't mind anything from this roster of races.

I'll say it again, whatever the next race is, the females have to be badass, like Roes or Highlanders.
Cute tiny females aren'tt so bad but enough of it for a long while please.
I hate what they did with Au'ras after seeing ( from the concept art ) how awesome females could have been. Instead we got reskinned Miqo'tes with the charisma of a chair... >_>

Still no to Viera (and Ivalice as well as new races in general) and yes to more facial/body options (third clan included) for the current races. Using Au Ra as an example (look at their concept art and then the in game model), there's no point making a new race for the game.

The point is new races expand the game's lore and tales of the world. It could also be done without it, though that could be said the same for savage modes, 24-man raids, extra glamour. Its not that there's no point, its that t could be done, and we're looking forward to it. If you don't want the race then simply say you don't like them instead of making poor excuses.Still no to Viera (and Ivalice as well as new races in general) and yes to more facial/body options (third clan included) for the current races. Still gonna say no to Viera. Third clan options that add more body diversity/other options would be pretty interesting imho.
I'm a giant dragon and heretic sympathizer and I love character customization
