I agree, people get carried. Every time I enter leveling, trial or 50 roulette on my lvl 60 healer, I literally sign up to carry people. That's the intent from SEs side as well. Even 60 and Expert, I know that unless I'm insanely lucky, chances are my gear/experience/skill level will be much higher than that of at least one of my party members. And I'm not even a hardcore player.

But you know, that's what I get for signing up with randoms in content that is much easier that my own skill level. I get awarded for this with eso/lore, and yeah, you can say it's unfair that slackers get the same rewards for half the effort. I actually agree on that point, BUT the problem is finding out who's just bad/inexperienced for whatever reason, and who is slacking on purpose. Because I don't want people to be punished for being slow learners, for having a disability, for learning at a slower pace, for having returned to the game or trying a new class they can't get to grips on. 4-mans are there for people to get gear and practice their classes before they step into harder content, if it ever comes to that.

Sometimes as a Tank you're just gonna have to watch a disaster unfold and all you can do is tank the boss and watch it happen. Odin or Thornmarch for example.

I agree With you, however I talk about people who dont try, doesnt use cd buff. Doesnt try learn rotation on dummy etc. People who do all of those things can be slow learners, we dont talk about those. We talk about those who are nearly full 240 and clearly Main the Job but have No clue what they doing. Sorry typing on phone.

Finally someone that actually understands the point of the roulettes. In fact, I derive a certain pleasure out of 'carrying' a bad group. Do I rage out loud at my monitor? Yes. Do I wish that my DPS could do more than spam the one three-hit combo, or my party's DRK could use Darkside, or whatever? Yes. But that's what duty finder is. If you consider a better player than the average 'duty finder plebian', put your money where your mouth is and try your best to carry that run.

More on topic, there's no way to separate out people who are generally trying to play well and falling short, and people who are lazy. The first group I would happily wipe with again and again. And I'm certainly not in favour of any systems that would screw over people who are trying in order to punish people who are lazy.

First, just want to say I fully agree on pretty much all of your posts. I just wanted to point out that the guy you're arguing with is an obvious troll >_> Another topic, he's claims that I "got told" by him for pointing out a flaw in his logic with him calling everyone elitist for telling him how to play.

I mentioned examples of other things that tell you how to play, like tutorials, dps checks, mechanics and if he thinks those are elitist and he goes on about how elitist I am to ask him to do the bare minimum and other stuff about how "no one dictates how he plays" yet when I mentioned that he thinks its perfectly fine for him to dictate how many times we wipe and such, he claims I got told and am reaching.

At this point I don't take anything he says seriously anymore and he's most likely some bored kid in school posting on his phone. Probably just best to report him, ignore him and move on. He's contributing nothing to either topic and just senselessly starting arguments that he's wrong in.
