I have had a feeling that Hydaelyn may have realised she was going to fail and so put effort into setting things up so her people could carry on without her. I strongly suspect the strengthening of our blessing might be part of that, perhaps to the point where we no longer need her direct intervention to benefit from it. If so the thing with Minfilia may also be part of that and if that is the case, I wouldn't be surprised if we find other examples of it.
