Pulling back the focus a bit, I'm a bit bewildered, because these bad experiences in DF aren't what I'd personally call "frequent" in my experience, and I've been playing steadily since 2.0 rolled out. Yeah, you get some poor attitudes, some clearly inexperienced players, and sometimes even a bit of overlap between the two, but they're the exception rather than the rule. Most people just want to get stuff done; not necessarily in the most efficient conceivable way, but the goal is the same.

So at this point, all that really should be said is: If these people complaining are really having frequent problems in the Duty Finder, the most common factor can be observed in the nearest mirror.

Attitude is everything. Improve yours, and I guarantee you'll have a better time on the whole.

I wish everyone had this mindset.

More people from FFXIV need to play MOBAs. Spend some time with those people and DF in FFXIV won't bother you anymore .

Funny you should say this, I play DOTA 2/League during the vacation from FFXIV when I feel bored between patches.

But what you're actually calling "improving attitude" is really just "stop giving a shit about doing well at what you're doing." I guess I could be as oblivious as this DRK, but I'm not interested in Idiocracy becoming a reality.

This is exactly what triggers me, espesically when said Tanks are strugglign with aggro because they aren't using their toolkit (in this example, no dorkside for the extra damage. It's also loss of mitigation abilities for pulls as well.

Nor is mana management that difficult or taxing unless you're min maxing. You can easily maintain it by doing a syphon combo every other time, and even without dork arts you're getting the damage buff. Not to mention the aforementioned mitigation abilties.

The sad part about this is, many in this thread support this attitude too. They say it's fine and if we try to help others we are either elitist or toxic, dat logic lol.

Should everyone be obligated to play this game "right" in order to obtain enjoyment from it?
ENJOYMENT!!! That's the keyword. You really make it sound like only 1 person out of 4/8/24 should have fun while the rest has to adap to 1 person. Ofc this game doesn't have consequences if you are bad, you get carried and you just move along with it. It's fine to have fun but ONLY IF EVERYONE HAVE FUN!
I want to enjoy this game too, but bad people make it look like a job for me because I have to play for myself and another person at once, where did common respect go? Or did people just turn into selfish ego bastards and cry all day if they don't get things on a silver plate?

If people have your attitude around me, I would never help them with any content at all. Why? Why should I spend time on someone who doesn't appreciate I help them but just sits there and do nothing, like not even trying at all, like many people don't.

Sadly this attitude with drk's and darkside is prevalent, it's rather disheartening. I especially get annoyed with "well I'm lazy" as though it somehow justifies it. Then he spends the rest of the time spouting nonsense. But then people act like the one calling him out is the elitist and the person doing it wrong. I'm not perfect when it comes to Darkside myself, I toggle it off between pulls and sometimes forget to reapply it immediately, but as soon as I realize it's up for the rest of the fight, no matter if it's trash or a boss.
