Idea for Friends Online Popup

I would like to make a small suggestion for a friends online pop up...

Here is the concept:

1. When you log in, system shows you that friends are online.
2. The button that appears in right side of screen indicates how many friends and has a map you can click on.
3. The map displays bips for "last known location".

Whenever I come online I always have to click the hot key ; to see if any of free company friends are online. Sometimes I forget and end up playing alone.

If whenever I logged on I was invited to notice that I have 10 free company friends near by... well, we could QUICKLY join up and play. Sometimes I leave the game because I don't find anyone to play with....so this feature could help lots of players engage and interact longer, and have more fun together!

When you first log in, it's not too tough to check your friends and FC lists yourself. Perhaps they could add an option for the game to start with your Friends list showing. But that doesn't need a new interface, just a setting to automatically open the existing one. (It would be much like how they currently have an option for whether you want the recommended duties list to open automatically.)

What would help more, though, is a notification when a friend of yours logs in. (They have it for FCs already.)

I like the ops idea. Something like the "Notice" pop-up notification but for friends. Clicking it would open your friends list. And it could be used to notify when a friend has logged on.
