Because almost the entire current armor inventory of the game just got nullified, and a huge number of items were added, including all the materia. People are going to need time to sort it out, but once they have time to do that, they're going to remove the additional space.

I think we need a Representative to clear this up. Explain what the idea behind this excess storage is and how it's going to work. Will it be player housing? Will it be some NPC that will allow you to take but not give your leftover items? How will it know what items you want in your immediate inventory when this adjustment happens?
