So I me, my bf and our friend decided to go do the 50 roulette as it was the last one we needed for the day.

I go in on whm, my bf on bard and friend on dragoon.

We end up in Qarn hard and low and behold we get a brand new warrior tank with only warrior at 53 and pld at 15.

I sigh a little, we all say hello to him and no response. He just leaps forward when I'm casting protect and stoneskin so I'm already shaking my head at how this is already going to go.

He proceeds to struggle to hold aggro for most of it to the point I just didn't even bother with regen cause he simply didn't pick the mobs up that decided I looked tasty.

So we reach the first boss, I ask him does he knock the tactics. Lo and behold I get no response, he just runs in and pulls so at this point and error on my part I wrongly assumed he knew the tacts.......nope

So when the quicksand appears he simply stands there and dies, then my bf gets faceplanted by the boss. We don't wipe at any rate and the tank finally says some truly inspiring words. "LoL."

I go to cast protect again to refresh it and he proceeds to run off again that at this point I think he's doing this purposely.

We reach the 2nd boss and well I end up tanking most of the adds because I thought you know regen is useful and I like to use it cause it makes my life easier.....wrong! ;w;

We ultimately wipe twice cause the tank didn't hold aggro at all and I got murdered, though we also neglected one of the old tacts cause honestly not run this normally for a long while and we forgot about it. We didn't kill the add that makes the boss nigh invulnerable.

The tank still doesn't say anything.

But we push forward, it oddly goes smooth but then we reach the final boss.....

I explain the tactics since by now I just assume he's not aware of them, I didn't see the new tag when we entered the dungeon so you know...

Well he doesn't follow them, he proceeds to get mummified by the 2nd wave of mummies and thus things start to go to hell.

My Bf and our friend both get sidetracked / panicked and get mummified themselves so there was a good while of me all alone soloing the boss .___. I got crit twice in a row and got lowered to around 150hp, luckily Benediction was off c/d but using it on myself feels like I failed at life. D:

I was so glad to be done with the dungeon but on a plus my BF won the lil mummy that dropped so all ends that ends well?

Just got off my lazy bum to run the last dungeon I needed to unlock the Level 50 Roulette, Tam-Tara Deepcroft (Hard).

I go in on my Level 58 PLD (xp is xp) and once I load in I mention that I'm the bonus and while it's not my first time, it's been a long time since I was in there (it had). Party was WHM/BLM/BRD, so I go ahead with double pulls for some speed. Everything went well, bosses died fairly quickly, and then we get to Avere.

Fight's going well, we have him at 5%, and he goes into another add phase. No sweat, mop these up and we can kill him after, right? Nope. At least one of the DPS was tunneling on Avere at that point, and we wound up getting 4 runes. I pop Tank LB at the last second and hope it's not too late (no sense in letting a DPS have it at that point anyway). We get through with the dps at about 60%. Avere dies a few seconds later, someone comments on my smart use of the tank lb, and I walk away with 2 comms.

5% and fast DPS, you all should've stayed on the boss. You wasted LB on the tank version instead of telling the DPS to use their LB.

Somewhat true, that, but the DPS (and healer) weren't on the same page on whether to dps the boss or the adds. Had everyone stayed on Avere, he'd have probably died before the AoE, regardless of the DPS LB being used. They didn't, so he didn't, and I popped the LB to make sure we didn't lose anyone.

Also, I don't like trying to type while I'm actively tanking, and I don't have a macro for "LB Please".

You can edit past the 1000 character limit by the way. Lord knows why they don't do away with it entirely.

I remember back in 2.X when I use to Main Bard.

During a Dungeon run in DF the group was trying to speed run the place as fast as possible so we were all spamming AoE and stuff due to how easily killed the 2.X trash mobs are.

The Healer ran out of MP fast due to spamming heals and DPS attacks and told me to use MP song and then I notice the Tank and other DPS was running out of TP so I had to switch to TP after a good amount of MP was back on Healer.

Then the Healer started running out of MP again not long after again so I switch to MP regen song then the Tank started running out of TP again fast then I switched to TP song then healer began running out of MP again and ask me to switch to MP song which I did then the Tank and DPS started running out of TP again and they told me to switch to TP song when Healer's MP was still low.

Then the healer started running out of MP again then I switched back to MP regen song and not long after the Tank and DPS was running out of TP again then i had to switch back to TP song.

By the time the dungeon was over they said good job to each other then they told me My DPS sucked due to being a Bard and I slowed down the "Speedrun".

Then I just F**** lost it and told them my DPS would have been better if I had not spent the entire time trying to keep their MP and TP up with my Bard Songs.

Then one of them said "Well good job on that part" and just left the dungeon.

I think my eye twitched a bit when they told my DPS sucked because I was a Bard and forgot I had to sacrifice my DPS to keep up their MP and TP.

(I only remember this moment now because recently I've been back to keeping group's MP and TP up again as a Machinist)

The other night I was running A5 (story mode) on one of my alts. Being bored was one reason for me to do that, but I learned my lesson really quick. First I got an instant que as dps and I should of realized that this is a preformed party, but then again I don't even mind that. We got no bonus message, so there shouldn't be any issue since nobody was new. First pull, both tanks fought for aggro, the reason is yet unknown. We wiped since the boss kept turning towards the group and the whm, as well as the scholar didn't find the cure/physick button?!

second pull, same thing, boss keeps turning and I stand there alone with the tank, trying to raise the healers as quick as possible as well as the dps. Thinking after 5 raises we should of just wiped. 5 seconds later everybody dead again. That continued for another 3 pulls. So I asked if we need some tank lessons? Thinking that this group maybe not new to the content but their jobs. Having seen that more than once over the last years/months I assumed that was the issue. Tanks got rude and blamed the healers, then telling me to dps more. Excuse me I would love to dps more but i am busy doing the healers job (raise) while doing the tanks job (tank, grabbing adds), which makes it a bit hard to deal lots of dmg.

However I did take a peak at the numbers and I still pulled more dps than most of the dps in that group. I wasn't gonna mention it, since it's pointless and nothing that I need to brag about, but people kept yelling at me for just trying to help. I to no point ever mentioned the numbers, but that black mage in that group wanted to brag about his FFlogs and how great he is. That I am a awful dps and all that stuff.

I then left the group and went back on my main. But I learned, that doing the older alexander/midas turns (story-mode) isn't something you should consider when being bored. Netflix probably would of been more entertaining that night lol.

Off topic and by all means I don't intend to offend, I just have a genuine question for you english speaking natives since I'm spanish/german: why do you guys keep saying "should of" or "would of"? Isn't it "should have" and "would have"? I don't understand the meaning with "of", of what? Please don't flame me, as I said before I don't intend to be grammar nazi, I'm just in doubt, thinking I have it wrong.
