I was running a DPS at the time, but I just had a brayflox longstop run where the tank was a gladiator, so I'd bet it was a horror story for the healer.

Said gladiator never used shield lob, rarely used flash, and certainly not enough to prevent the healer from pulling. I and the other dps made an unspoken vow to prioritize keeping all mobs off the white mage, so the trash mobs weren't absolutely terrible, but it was still pretty unpleasant.

what caused problems was the tank somehow managing to pull new mobs along with him on his returns from a death. Not a wipe, because he'd follow everybody else when that happened. If he died, he'd immediately respawn instead of waiting for a raise, and in taking the shortest route back, aggro the mobs that most groups ignore. This happened twice, once to random mobs, and once to the second boss.

When we got to the final boss, the tank simultaneously failed to grasp that the boss would heal from the poison pools, or that ninjas need to stay behind the boss at all times. Instead, he ran circles around the boss, nearly killed the healer with poison breath, and ignored me telling him to get the boss out of the poison.

The only thing keeping me from going totally ballistic is that everybody else had the green sprout icon, and that has been a mistake I made in the past. After killing the boss, I explained what he had been doing wrong, why he needed a job crystal, and how to get it, so hopefully he'll improve. I did get two player comms from the run.

I ran Aurum Vale last night on my (at the time) 49 Ast. I've ran this many times on my Whm and Sch (both 60) and rarely ever have deaths. Occasionally when a DPS refuses to eat fruits. However, back to last night... we had a Pld in full Metalworks gear (turned out to be 57 by the end) and never once used Shield Lob. He would slowly walk into groups to pull. I noticed 1) he never used Flash 2) he was getting BLASTED bad! I looked closer and he tanked in Sword Oath. The Bard tried telling him to use Shield Lob for pulling to help with threat and he said "nope." After we wiped for him pulling way too many mobs in Sword Oath, the Bard said "you know those defense cooldowns that you never use?" He replied "you mean the ones that only last for 15 to 20 seconds and are meant to be saved for bosses? Yeah......"

We only wiped once on Miser's Mistress and I had to tell everyone "please eat fruits" as the Bard died having 7 or 8 stacks, the tank had 6. The Dragoon who was silent the whole time ate his fruit as he should and never said a word. I gave him the commendation.

Also, this weekend, ran with a group in 60 roulette. We landed in Antitower. The DPS were Drg and Mch. DPS was going the slowest I've ever seen in any dungeon. I didn't say anything. When we got to the last boss, the Mch said "this will go super slow if the healer does not DPS, so could you please add some?" I stayed silent. I really wanted to say "then you need to pick it up on the DPS." Things were going ok... slow but ok. The Mch said "if you do not DPS, we are going to wipe...." I remained silent and we finished with no deaths.

I don't DPS a lot as a healer anyway. I play a healer to heal. If I wanted to DPS, i'll switch stones to Smn. But asking the healer to DPS because you're bad is just... bad. That would be like me asking a Smn to help heal. If you can't perform your function, try another.

True true honestly ppl shouldn't lvl something if there not going to take the time to "actually" learn the job and get the off class skills. Its just frustrating.

Ironically my worst moment was when I was leveling my Black Mage for the Arcmage title. Our healer died twice both in boss fights so since I never leave home without a healing spell I wound up healing the other dps (tank and healer dead) in the fist fight and healing the tank, dps, and my self for the second fight.

I thought it was kind of funny since here I was doing the exact opposite of my party job XD... the others were not as amused >.>

I am never going near the Vault again. My whm was probably undergeared, and eventually got it done.....eventually.
But it scarred me, for life.
Even now I'm still on therapy....never again.

The last boss fight in that place can be frustrating, especially if people do not avoid the horses. I feel it keeps you on your toes.

Did a leveling roulette with 2 FC members (both as dps) yesterday and wind up in Stone Vigil with an at level Paladin.

During the first pull hate was evrywhere, and me and the BLM notice the tank is in sword oath. So we ask him to swap to shield oath instead. His response is "I don't have it." He offered to leave, but we told him to make sure he finishes his job quests before he runs more dungeons.

Obviously the tank ended up not being able to keep hate at all. He would pull with provoke, or flash 20 yards away from mobs not hitting any of them before running in to not use flash once they are grouped up. We tried to teach him as we went, so I told him to pull with shield lob instead. So he'd run right next to a mob and use it. Needless to say it was a long run.

By far the worst part came after the first boss though. The tank was in all 38-41 crafted items, none HQ, nothing melded. Nothing I would normally complain about with an at level tank, as that's the kinda gear story gives out. The only issue I had was the tank was passing on ALL tank gear that dropped, and all of it was an upgrade over what he had.
