Only have limited playtime myself, but it looks like you should be soloing mobs that are generally around your level, especially since the power seems to scale a decent bit with each level. On my LNC31 on Mun-Tuy squirrels, it seemed like the "ideal" ones were lvl 32-33. 34s gave more XP, but took a bit longer and didn't seem worth it. I want to say the XP was something like 478 for a 35 mob (killed a poacher for that), 433 for 34s, 384 for 33s. I know 30s were 117, don't remember 31 or 32. But what I got out of it was that within a couple of levels of you seems ideal.

As a 33-34, though, you'd be in a tough spot since you'd have to choose between 30-34s or 35-39s. Personally I'd try just chaining the 30-34s since a 39 as a lvl 34 even would be a very dangerous fight.

Thank you Azury, helped me a ton with the basics. Since I have never played any other Final Fantasy game, there were times I would just sit at my desk and scratch my head. I have been playing MMOs since UO, but was totally lost with FFXIV, which is kind of the reason I am actually enjoying the game.

Well, that's why we're asking if you're planning on updating it for 1.19, because you have the knowledge and the ability to make clean, straightforward, and easy to read guides that anyone can use. We could do it ourselves, yes, but you were great at it pre 1.19, so we're wondering if you'll continue to do the same for 1.19.

This guide is still useful in that it tells you the levels of mobs. You just need to adjust the level ranges where you can fight them. +10 is still fine for full party too. For solo it is best now to fight mobs that are as close to your level as possible. Fighting enemy the same level as you is best. I can get to chain 5 solo this way.
