So... bottom line, what would you do? This healer was making honest attempts to do his job at healer, resurrecting players as needed, but severely undergeared. IMO it's not hard to just get the gear you need before queuing for an instance, but I'm not sure what makes people try to cheese the item level restrictions like this.

I have noticed that there are players who genuinely do not know how stats and equipment work in this game. They'll put on gear for aesthetic purposes, and not consider the benefits of stats, or they look at item level and not relevant stats as it pertains to their job.

I would like to think that an average player would be able to read the description on abilities and stats and connect the dots, but there is a surprising amount of players that seem incapable of doing so. I honestly don't know how to help those type of players out.

Okay so Ifrit HM & we get a DRG, not new, that like....spammed the twirly thing. He'd use Heavy Thrust then just twirl away. He even used Chaos Thrust once. Not the combo, the one attack. And when adds came out he stuck to the boss like glud BUT he used the twirly thing so at least he hit the nail behind Ifrit


It was just a weird experience...like I've never seen someone that clueless(?), I pray he was trolling. But it is kinda unfair we carried him through the trial <.< I think everyone should be giving 100% effort & I abhor carries even if it's just something easy like Ifrit HM.

Tuesday morning so obviously doing Weeping City. We make it through the first boss just fine. Rolling up to the second boss and notice Alliance A was down their tank and a healer. Replacements show up but not caught up and Alliance C tank pulls boss. We try to finish the fight but wipe at the 3 mob add phase. Immediately, somebody starts abandon poll. Thankfully the vote fails and people are telling whoever started the vote to just leave. Finally full squad and try again. Whoever was tanking middle mob of same phase turned mob away so tail was destroying us. Wipe and another abandon vote. Still no. Quickly inform tank to face mob toward party and we clear. Rest of the duty was wipe-free. I'm so happy everybody didn't hop onto the elitists "one wipe and abandon" bandwagon.

You sure the healer didnt have broken gears as opposed to low geared?even with min. Requirement you would above that 5k hp. It surprises me... just wondering is all

First off, the healer really didn't catch my attention until after the Cetus fight, so there's no telling what he or she came in with. Second, yes I actually hit Examine on the healer. I actually described the gear pieces I saw.

Next, the appalling part to me, and perhaps what I feel most guilty about, is the dps got kicked for speaking up. Even with my voting no. So either it was a partial premade or.... people really didn't pay attention and hit Yes without a thought. As much as I wanted to initiate a kick on my own, I'm not the type to start drama and I suspect if this WAS a premade it would just result in me getting booted.

Was running leveling roulette on the early days of Heavensward, just unlocked Machinist since it was the one job that interested me in the expansion. Got into Brayflox normal, started to do the dungeon normally, no problems at all. Then suddenly, out of nowhere, I got kicked. No reason given. There wasn't even any chatting at all during the dungeon. I've heard people say that they've been kicked from dungeons for just being a Machinist. I think the same thing happened to me.

for the kick I agree, but as you know, you dont need any reasons, worse valid reason, to kick anyone..and (not saying is your case here) many dont speak up because they dont want to be kicked and prefer to go with the *good side*...yeah..so I want to believe (I know I live with too high hopes) the healer had broken gears.

Yesterday I joined a Level 60 Roulette on my Paladin. Twas an 'In Progress' {Lost City of Amdapor Hard Mode}. The previous Tank had left within the first 7 minutes; usually not a good sign but I don't like to rush to judgement.


Upon pulling six mobs at once the healer asks me "Why are you taking so much damage? I thought Paladins were supposed to be stronger." I'm pretty surprised by this comment. I'm 60 ilvl's higher than the dungeons recommended average. 14k more HP than I'm supposed to have. And this dungeon doesn't gear or level sync you. He couldn't have received a more prepared and over-geared Tank.


I say "I'm i240, I have 28k hp, and I'm staggering cool downs in Shield Oath. Don't blame the Tank." I haven't been hit by a single AoE, I used an HQ Steamed Staff, and at this point I realize I could solo these pulls with Clemency if I really wanted to. The Healer decides to /check my gear and lol's at how I've melded all of it with Crit V's and Det V's. I ask him if he would prefer I melded everything with Parry. He says "Yes. I like my Tanks as defensive as possible." /sigh


So maybe he's just uninformed. The discussion goes back and forth on why Crit is superior to Parry and it finally gets to the point where I realize he just wants to remain ignorant. Never having met such an ungrateful and whiny healer before, I finally tell him "I can solo heal these fights myself." And thus the last boss comes along and the healer decides to lock himself out of the fight. My plan succeeds ♪. I only use Clemency three times. Two of them were on DPS that stood too close to the proxy AoE's.


Upon the bosses defeat, I had but only one regret. That the healer left the dungeon so fast that I couldn't even commend him. /sarcasm.

Queued Wiping City last night, since last week's attempt to get my weekly on Monday night was a bust. First group couldn't get passed the 2nd boss. Vote Abandon initiates, passes, I re-queue and an in-progress instantly pops (DPS). Last boss! Cleared in 1 attempt, though I'm not sure how many attempts were made prior to my pop. I'll take it! \o/

Weeping City yesterday was way too smooth. I went in as a PLD, everyone said greetings and off we go. I checked the other two tanks, and yup 2 WARs ! The run was wipeless and everyone were on points. Best Weeping City ever and I got to MT the whole run ! Since usually most raid I went into DRK was mt-ing the whole run, while I put on Sword Oath and DPS. XD
