My take on Samurai as a tank

Red Mage.

What if Red Mage becomes the Healer Job of 4.0 using a mechanic that everytime the Red Mage Heals a ally depending on the stance the Heal can also perform damage to all enemies near that Healed ally in Black magic Stance or provide a 50% chance of the healing skill potency to heal 2 times the amount in White Magic Stance. Turning Red Mage into a Burst/Berserker Healer capable of healing more than the other 3 healers if luck is on their side or constantly performing damage and healing at the same time without ever having to stopping to heal so they can DPS.

If we're going for Red Mage we need their signature DualCast ability some where that people just love to spam as Red Mage.

Imagine if the Black Magic Stance made all Red Mage damage skills have a 50% chance to perform 2 times damage giving a animation that the skill "DualCast"

This would require some amount of player skill.
You would see tons of Samurais that just think he's cool run around, most people would not be able to play him.People would complain, square enix would "nerf" him and we'd get another 1-2-3+def cooldown tank
