I had the best ARF run today. I went with an FC friend and I load in a little slow and I saw in the FC Chat Box, "This tank." I braced for the worst. The other DPS just went, "LOL." I loaded in and was greeted with the most glorious sight. The tank was Roe in a bath towel and a Fat Chocobo mask. And handsdown, he was easily one of the best tanks I've healed in awhile. I've had tanks in ARF where I through up a shield and/or regen and they'd lose it almost instantly and I'd have to babysit them and do little DPS. Not this guy. He did the biggest pulls he could and putting up both Aspectic Benefics or even just the Regen was all he needed. With my MNK friend and the SMN, everything just melted. It was great.

Doing Brayflox again with my friend whilst I'm learning how to play DRK. Got two people with anime character names, one which I mistook for a DRG. The other is a mentor. Things went fine until the first boss.

The mentor pulled. I asked her not to do that. Her response after we take down the boss? "don't take too long then". Lady I didn't even get a chance to pull because you pulled it before I had a chance. Then I noticed the DRG wasn't a DRG at all, she was a LNC. I asked her if she had her soulstone or not, and the mentor started getting annoyed with me for taking too long when I was asking the LNC a question. She said no, she hadn't got it yet. Me and my friend gave her some friendly advice, just letting her know she should get it ASAP.

The mentor though? She got really annoyed with me for "doing nothing" and pulled. Honestly, in an act of sheer spite I intended to let her die, but the enemies decided to attack my friend so. Maybe that was wrong of me, I'll admit that but >.>;

Rest of the run went fine, though the mentor was continuously being passive aggressive.

Party members let him know to switch to shield.
No repsonse.
3 of us collectively agree to let him die. Finally switches to shield.
Still no response from tank.
Continue the dungeon.
Cant hold aggro. >,>
Still no response.
Get to a boss.
Tank uses Sprint.

Well, remember that on the forums, all tanks are encouraged to stay in DPS stance whenever humanly possible. Better DPS that way; if you're not maximizing your DPS at all times, you're a lazy tank.

Not a DF story, but definitely lulz worthy.

My LS and I decided to do some maps tonight for Aquapolis. We did about ten maps and got about seven dungeons. Out of those seven, 5 of them ended after the first chamber, one after the second, and only 1 got to the fifth. We laughed at our terrible luck. XD

Well, remember that on the forums, all tanks are encouraged to stay in DPS stance whenever humanly possible. Better DPS that way; if you're not maximizing your DPS at all times, you're a lazy tank.

Come to think of it, I could probably have tanked that Stone Vigil in Sword Oath, considering the healer had more aggro from healing than the DPS.

But if I refuse to tank as a DPS or healer, there's no way I'm going to DPS as a tank. I refuse to do someone else's job for them.

Had an amazing Weeping City run with an amazing co-healer. Got to Ozma and C wasn't having very good luck, alliance chat wasn't being too kind to them either. They kept wiping on meteors and couldn't recover when we'd raise their healers. 3rd time through, our alliance was the one to screw up the meteor and 3/8 were still alive. We recovered and cleared that crap.
Get to end boss and suddenly she is NOT facing in a good direction and wipes the entire raid except for like 4 people. Me and the other healer are alive, we raise one healer from each alliance, they LB3, and we all go home happy

Trying to get a clear in Nidhogg's Rage, and right now it feels like I'd have better luck clearing Weeping City Savage with an alliance of newbies and no wipes. I've seen the orbs once out of god knows how many runs.

What usually happens:
- There is, without fail, the one person who will die to divebombs. Every. Single. Time (more often than not, my co-healer)
- DPS try to murder each other with circles
- Tanks swap KOs during the add phase
- Blue tethered players stack for Fang, causing Self-Destruct to go off
- DPS/ gear is inadequate despite this being the highest non-raid DPS check in the game
- Players think "have experience up to (phase)" means "have heard of (phase) in passing", wiping the party multiple times

The last one irritates me the most, because calling them out on it usually results in "this is a training party, isn't it?" or "this is such a bad atmosphere!!" when they weren't courteous enough to respect the PF requirements and expect you play teacher. End phase training/ kill parties are not there to waste an hour of their own time mentoring you. If you're not up to par, join a first-timer group.

Today I learned that I as a SCH can use my swiftcast 3x to rez before any other healer will start eventually rezzing...yep I sure learned something

I had a pretty awesome one last night. Normally I despise when as an AST I get nothing but Ewers but this was a blessing because doing Void Ark my party had the ONLY bard in the entire run. Those almost constant ewers kept their MP up for almost the entire run minus the small dry spell here and there. I just thought it was pretty amazing. :3
