I thought Aurum Vale's main purpose is GC rank.
I loathe speed runs. I'm there to play, and frankly, speed runs do not feel like play to me, they feel like a chore. For over two years Tanks have been honing the art of speed running: Locking mobs out at a boss line, sack-pulling to skip dozens of mobs in seconds, grouping trains of enemies together for AoE annihilation while invincible, ignoring as many mobs as possible. Speed-running becomes second nature and most early dungeons can be finished in half the time. Even people that desire exp appreciate a 15min Roulette compared to a 30min one. They still killed their bosses and got their massive bonuses.
Thank you.
I had an AV run, back when it was still called Low Level Roulette, where my friend and I (Healer and Tank) were there for our daily tomestones.
We started the dungeon by clearing out the mobs on the left side of the main room, creating a path to the boss. As I pulled the boss, one of the DPS comes running into the boss room with a bunch of mobs, and we wiped. This happened two more times before I finally said, "We don't need to kill those." to which the DPS replied, "We're leveling and want EXP." At which point (and I'll remind you that this is after three wipes with the DPS saying nothing) my friend and I left the instance.
If you are doing dungeons for EXP as a non-tank, and the tank is not pulling every mob in the dungeon, suck it up. It is not worth harassing and wasting the time of your fellow players. If you want to farm dungeons, go as a tank, or get a friend to go as a tank, or start a Party Finder for that purpose. Yes, it's hard to get EXP as a DPS, but if I'm leveling a DPS and I get a dungeon with a tank that's speedrunning, I'm not going to waste their time (and my own) by trying to pull extra mobs or getting into an argument. I know that I'm still going to get a nice chunk of EXP for the clear, and that I'll be making up for the lost mob EXP by doing FATEs and Levequests while waiting for my next dungeon pop.
A mentor stole my house, slapped me across the face, and raised my ping from 15 to 30. Literally unplayable.

Again, I'm saying if the xp is there and takes an extremely small amount of time to kill (seriously, the tank aggros the fruit while he grabs Gold Vine, then grabs the seedlings while they hatch and everything gets killed at the same time), take it. Again, the analogy makes perfect sense in this situation. You are telling other people, who are already there and can benefit from that exp THAT'S ALREADY THERE, that they can't have it and should go teleport to another zone and fate farm to make up the different. That's just a shitty attitude, I'm sorry. I'm done.
Yeah, my math was off. I was counting the seedlings that was already there. From what I remember the last time I did it, I had food and FC buffs on and they were giving around 3.8k each kill, not taking into account XP chain bonuses, not taking into account the lower level you are, the more exp they give. From what I can remember, there are a total of 16 fruits and by going my rough estimate of 3.8k that would actually make 60,800. That's still a sizable amount of exp for only a couple of minutes work. People would rather fate farm and lose efficiency by traveling to the next fate and waiting for them to pop? *shrugs*
I remember there being that about 16 fruits in one room with another room having roughly 8-10 fruits.Yeah, my math was off. I was counting the seedlings that was already there. I remember that cause I once had an issue where when trying to dodge a bad breath I accidentally overpulled and there was a veritable horde of seedlings. We did take the big morbol down, but the DPS had to kite the seedlings back to a previous area while me and the healer revived and rushed to recover. That happened on the larger room of the 2 seedling rooms.
One of the later times I took that room much more carefully and pulled about 3 packs of 5-6 just fine. So there are definitely enough seedlings in the dungeon to be ~100k
So you couldn't figure out the first time that they wanted exp? Or, you couldn't have asked them what they were doing the first time? You just kept wiping. How many more times would you have wiped until they said something? If you ask me, you're just as much at fault for the wasted time because you were part of the miscommunication problem.
And I could easily tell you to suck it up if you went into a LEVELING roulette when the DPS want to level. Maybe FATE farming for them is unproductive and maybe they burned through all their leves so they can't earn much xp while they're waiting. They're in that dungeon to get exp, and people like you deny them that. People who are leveling actually have priority, because they aren't even at the level to earn tomes for their jobs yet.
I guess my main issue is that your entire point is incredibly hypocritical and antagonistic and you fail to recognize this or accept that it could be a possibility.Again, I'm saying if the xp is there and takes an extremely small amount of time to kill (seriously, the tank aggros the fruit while he grabs Gold Vine, then grabs the seedlings while they hatch and everything gets killed at the same time), take it. You also make it sound like teleporting to another zone and downing a fate is a huge deal. It's about as much effort as killing a few hatched seedlings.
