Color effect the stats of robes now?

Is someone tell me Green Wizards are superior to Red wizards. This is unacceptable Red and Green are practically brothers. Grey them out and they make the same grey.

But seriously why are the stats different? What if I want the magic potency on the red robe? How do I get it on there?

For some reason, they decided that color is no longer an aesthetic change, but one that actually alters the way you play. Trying to mach an aesthetic with a certain class or style of gameplay.

Some changes may be a little more extreme than necessary though.

I would like some clarification on this as well. I prefer to wear read gear because I like the color and it matches my character. Making certain colors of gear have different stats prevents players from choosing the color that they most prefer.

I don't see why a color change should alter the stats considering it was the same robe at one point. Cause even with materia I bet that green robe would still be better considering it has that +8 magic potency.

I assumed they would be the same and just gave away the green robe I made.
I like red better anyway, but their thought process on the new coloring is a bit strange.

So I suppose most people will be wanting green felt robes now?

Linen - red (+mnd)
Linen - Blue (+int)

Could it be that SE plan to have gear based on the job, ie whm and blm.

Looking at the felt gear red would be the white mages gear and green would be for black mage.

I don't see why a wearing a ring can improve my accuracy or make me more powerful.

i like the color bonus but it shouldn't make one better then the other. say you have green and white have green have
+10 int and white have +10 mnd. then you dont have everyone wearing the same color cause the other one is obsolete.
