Color effect the stats of robes now?

You still have the choice, do you go for the colour you want or the stats you want.

As i said before I'd like to see all armour have 0 stats and no HQ and then you customise by adding materia, but im sure Yoshi has something else planned and we'll just have to see how that turns out.

I'm not on a high Horse. This is a feature they Gave us and are now taking away for literally no reason. To have the same piece of armour give two different stats is just a lazy way to pretend there is more variety in the armour. There is no excuse for removing such a beloved mechanic from the game especially after telling us they were going to make it easier to have customized colors for our armour.

so having the same armor with the same stats but just different colors is not lazy? u can wear what u want to wear, just dont complain when people don't pick u up for a party because u choose to wear a green robe rather than a red robe.

I don't understand how people are defending the removal of being able to wear the color you want without feeling obligated one way or another due to arbitrary stats.

Comparing this to FFXI or WoW are poor examples because they never had a dying system. FFXIV gave us a dying system for the purpose of character customization, and now they're botching it for no reason by tying it to stats.

We have Materia now. Equipment stat variances should be based on that, not color.

That is exactly the point..

People should not have to worry about being rejected because the Color they want to wear isn't good enough to compete. That is an absolutely ridiculous thing to have to worry about.
