    That;s not weird, that;s the magic of complacency. You start to overpower the content an see yourself as "too good for it" and you wind up making mistakes similar to noobs (see: iLevel sync) when you return to said content. ANother example of this if people still wiping on labyrinth even when ST, WoD, and especially Void Ark came out.

    Yep, you've pinned the donkey on the tail. Complacency. Just the other run, someone in lvl 60 gear said "FML" and of course was the first one to die, while the noob never did.

    Absolutely nailed it.Some of this does lie on players, with the Void Ark example being especially on-point.

    But, the leveling dungeons in this game are designed for efficiency, while the 1.0 holdovers (particularly AV, DD to a lesser extent) have things that will cause problems for players that want it over quickly, even if newcomers are staying perfectly circumspect. If FFXIV were a single-player dungeon crawler this might actually be good design, but not here, where the precedent has clearly been set to ensure that lower-level co-op gets done with minimal frustration.

    I had a run like that one day in AV. Next you know the NIN was complaining that he would have to run the dungeon again and he was soooo close to 50. It isnt like I never said in the dungeon each seedlings with food and FC buffs would give between 3-5k each exp, so after he complained afew times, I told him flat out that he had thrown away by his attitude around 100k exp by not waiting the seeds to hatch...he felt rather silly....

    There is nothing you can do against silliness...just hit your pillow and continue. I love AV

    Is there really any good reason for the fruits not to give the same exp seedlings do? I know that i personally would kill them because there was a time where that was the strategy of the dungeon (back when aurum vale was at level cap) until i was told no exp was being earned that way that is.

    Because you can 1-3 hit the fruit. So if they gave as much exp as the normal seedling mob then it would be too easy. There needs to be some challenge in a dungeon run tbh.

    In fact, I think I've seen people straight up speed run Aurum Vale maybe once? Most people go into AV knowing it's partly a leveling run. That's what it's purpose is. I understand finding these dungeons annoying and wanting to clear them ASAP, but running Low Level Roulette is for the benefit of the people who actually queue'd up for a particular dungeon, not the i220 who wants some tomes.

    depending on your level if you are 48 you get more exp then if you are 49, the full clear can bring you 350k + exp with food and FC buffs. in a single run. It remains to my knowledge, the dungeon that gives the most EXP in the entire series. I am with Corfish, everybody unless they are real true new and dont know it and that is rare to find, everybody says to wait for fruits to hatch. Sometimes is a mistake to kill them as people forget they are overgeared, but as a rule, people wait those 2mn more. It isnt like it takes a century

    Then couldn't the challenge be in killing the fruit before they spawn rather then in waiting for them to spawn? Why does player intiative have to get penalized in this situation? It's created it's own unique rule for nothing more than experience points.
