personal opinion: no new race, improve the old ones

People who want a new race aren't happy with their current one.

People who want improvements on the existing races like their race (just not the options for customization).

There's no point in rallying either way. Whatever happens, a group of people will get upset about it to some degree.

I agree. I understand it's the style but I honestly wish they did look so lanky. I love elf type races but couldn't get myself to play elezen x(

Same here. Whenever possible I play an Elf in an MMO. However in this game I tried it for a few days. Definately no go for me. It just doesn't stick. And to me it seems that more people think that way, because I barely see any Elezen running around the Lich server.

While there are plenty of Au Ra, Miqo'te and Midlanders running around. Roe and Elezen appear nearly extinct.

Point of interest, Alphinaud is not a mixed race. He's a young elezen thats all.

Nah, there's zero relation between IRL time and in-game time, word-of-dev is we've just had a very busy year.

If I remember correctly Alphi, and obviously his twin sister, are 15 when we meet them. If one year game time has gone by they are around 16 now. So just teenagers still. I could be remembering wrong though as I cannot remember where I obtained this information lol.

I've given up hoping for something cool and exciting. Seeing what they did with Au'Ra was a letdown, imo anyway. If they manage to come up with something awesome (be it new race or *gasp* giving us better added options for current races), then I will be thoroughly impressed. I'm not going to hold my breath and hope for something great though seeing the track record thus far.
