First off, both the exterior and the interior change with the seasons,
I'm not one of those "always have your cherry blossom tree out" kind of people, it just happens to be Little Ladies' Day next
Lavender Beds, Ward 7, Plot 20. After checking every single plot, I finally found the one with the best view in every direction. Additionally, the market board is right next to it
The Garden
Personally, I dislike all those crazy flashy Primal things many people like to show off. My garden is all-natural and a place to relax in nature, serenated by the waterfall and little birdies.
Also, the view I mentioned is just amazing, it goes all the way down to the dock!

Just finished the Mog House. It was a ton of work but worth it.

You create all the housing glamours via a company workshop (available in free company owned houses). The recipe has to be unlocked by the free company using materials brought back from airship voyages and then it can be crafted by starting the project (3 sizes available so make sure you're making the right size!), throwing requesting materials into the bubble and then progressing through each stage with a group of 4 crafters until done.
Very lengthly process indeed! I made the "eatery" wall. As you are progressing you feel that each step of the way you are putting in the amount of materials that it would really take to make the finished product. So disappointing when you take the time to HQ the mats and it tells you "quality didn't increase". Then you toss in mats you bought from the material supplier and it says "quality increases by 10!". Bite me RNG. I got lucky and on one of the expensive sections progress had already been made 2/3's of the way.You create all the housing glamours via a company workshop (available in free company owned houses). Like the others said its a lengthy process to make the mog house. I gathered and crafted everything myself but it requires a few items that only airships can bring back so I needed to buy that stuff.
It took me roughly 2 weeks casually gathering and crafting and cost me about 2 mil for the airship mats. Once you have the mats it takes about 20 minutes or do to make and you need ; people in the company workshop.
If you go to your company workshop and check the company project listing you can see all the mats needed to make it. It was a fun little project to work on,
Never put pictures of my home here. Yesterday change the decoration in the garden and wanted to show

Bahaha! I'm so guilty of this! So... I wasn't expecting to buy a plot on June 7th. I originally expected to. I scouted out the plot, planned my race for the morning of, etc. Then, on the Thursday before the release, I saw a plot pop up, so I sniped it. I hated it, too. I don't think I would have hated it if it was the only thing I was going to get, but this plot had no view, 15 second run to the nearest bell and board, etc. And with my desired plot coming up in mere days, I have no idea why I did this.
Anyways, patch day: I was awake at 3am, in order to help our FC get the plot we wanted. I'm on Famfrit, so the log in errors weren't too bad, but I did have a 52 person queue and I was late getting in (my FC mate had already missed her first chance at purchasing the mansion we wanted and had already ported to the one I was supposed to be guarding - while I was still in queue).
So I went to Lavender Beds and I noticed that the plots I wanted weren't bought yet and lamented wasting my gil on the one a few days ago... That's when my FC-friend loaned me 2mil from the bank and yelled at me to hustle and go get my house!
So not only was I broke and ill-prepared, but I had to pack up 120 items of furniture (inside and out), kick out my tenants, relinquish my land, port to Mist to get my loan, port back to Gridania (I also had someone watching plots for me to see if they was any of 9/39 left)... someone had run past my friend and bought one he was guarding for me, but he found mine and it was still free when I finally got there. Whew!!!
The lesson learned here is: apparently location is very important to me, and don't settle on a plot right before a patch that releases 720 new houses...
Eternal I'm a bit guilty of one part of that. A plot opened up in Mist about 2 months before they were releasing the new ones. I've been so excited to buy a house since the first plot expansion that I jumped on it. It's not a bad view, despite being grade 5 but there's a MB and crystal on the corners (plot 17). It would be hard to give it up for a shot at something like beachfront. I would like a medium though. I can't believe you did all that and still managed to get it.
