Finally getting around to showing Sera's Little Home too^^

First off, both the exterior and the interior change with the seasons,
I'm not one of those "always have your cherry blossom tree out" kind of people, it just happens to be Little Ladies' Day next



Lavender Beds, Ward 7, Plot 20. After checking every single plot, I finally found the one with the best view in every direction. Additionally, the market board is right next to it

The Garden

Personally, I dislike all those crazy flashy Primal things many people like to show off. My garden is all-natural and a place to relax in nature, serenated by the waterfall and little birdies.
Also, the view I mentioned is just amazing, it goes all the way down to the dock!

The Upper Floor

This is basically where...eating happens x) There are a kitchen, the pantry, the entrance area and a nice place to have dinner with friends! Personally, I like it when a place looks inhabitated. I also want my home to have everything needed to actually be able to live there, and I think I'm pretty close

The Staircase

I know it sounds weird to give this its own category, but my workplace is here xD
In a small house, one has to be efficient with the room that is available. And since Sera doesn't do much work at home, no big desk and the like are needed.

The Lower Floor

This is where the other necessary rooms are located - the Doman style living room, the bedroom and the bathroom, all connected by a long hallway.
It's also where any event-related stuff is found during events!





The bedroom and bathroom are nextdoor.




For the bath, the inspiration for it came from this forum, actually. You can sit on the edge and just dip your feet in, sit in the water or actually lie down beside it, whichever it is you feel like! ^-^

if you have not checked out this album, you are wrong. this is SO AWESOME, Bonne! i LOVE the mess. and the way you added the walls on the inside to make smaller, cozier rooms. there is so much in here that it doesn't even look like a small house on the inside, and i'm wondering how you did this with the furnishing limit!! great job on your house.

If you look closely, he's only using the ground level floor of that small house and (presumably) ignoring the cellar completely. You'll notice his bedroom is actually in the alcove where the top staircase landing is, and the actual staircase going down is walled off so it's like the basement doesn't exist.

I'm not saying it's a bad idea mind you, but that's probably how he did it, so all 100 items on one level. Of all the housing show-and-tell posts I've seen, I'd agree that that's probably one of the best in my memory too.

It's a great lesson for how to furnish a house in general. Smaller spaces that are laid out realistically can actually make a house look bigger instead, because people can't see everything at once. It's easy to get tricked by the 3rd person camera since it's much taller than your actual character, as a result many people have rooms that are so big you could play soccer in them, which gives the house a weird feeling.

Store your clothes away in the storage bench, grab a towel and shower while an Ahriman vase pretends not to see

Journey to Indoor Onsen

Steal a fruit from the immobilised Popoto and make your way down to the Onsen as an Ifrit Lamp lights and warms your way.

Indoor Onsen

Try out 5 different style of onsen and enjoy the delicious food surrounding you as Pa-Paya plays in the background. The Succubus lifeguard will attend to your every need.

Small Changing Room

Your clothes in the storage bench have been transported here via Popoto Express. When you wish to leave, change to your clothes here and make your way back up.

I got the same one but plot 9 I believe in the main ward! Love that lot. Right when the server went live I looked at ward 9 and it was taken. Ward 10 was open so I jammed to it and bought it up. 5 seconds later someone else came along, looked at it and ran toward the dock. Then they came running the other direction. Told them that 39 was the same plot in the subdivision. They thanked me and I ported over to it. Not taken so I sent them another tell to hurry up. They showed up and said they would have to borrow some gil from a friend. WHAT!?!? Who fights the log ins at launch to find a plot and then comes unprepared? Long story short I fronted them the mil they were short, trusting that they would pay me back. They pulled through the next day.

That was a bit of a long story. Sorry...

Ha I know right? I even logged out as a DRG to be able to jump-180 elusive jump and land on the aetheryte after teleporting to the docks of the new wards. Also had stickers on my monitors showing exactly where dialog boxes would pop up to shave a few milliseconds off having to aim the cursor.

I didn't go that far but did trial runs to the plots I wanted with notes written down. Extremely difficult to read and comprehend at 3 a.m. when you normally go to bed at 11:30-12 btw. I'll get pics up in here when we finish it. A couple of days ago I finished my Small Eatery Wall in my FC workshop with the help of a few friends. Wife wants to do a whole bakery/restaurant thing. I'm all for it! Perfect lot for that.
