yeah i mean adding options, more than just 4 chin options and 4 face options. i dont mind choosing options and not having sliders since i find it easier to make better looking characters, but more choice is always welcome

My point is that you're insisting they should have been different, when the playerbase at large seems extremely content with how they are.
It's a Japanese MMO, cute sells better than sultry. That's why you see tons of lizardgirls and catgirls but very few female roes or highlanders. All things considered they made the right call. I don't agree with it, and you don't agree with it, but from a marketing standpoint it made perfect sense.

You're taking about breast size? I don't think SE is going there regardless of race. You can wish for it but I don't think that will happen even with any new races introduced. Breast sliders would make many happy i suppose! Well enhanced ones. LoL.Well first of all the chest ! My au ra looks like an ironing board T.T (came from a Fem Roe ^^")
On the pics they look "adult" (compared to the actual Au ra that look like teenagers) fierce, almost bestial and it would have been nice, the Au ra today....well they just look like serpent cat girls :/
I've been playing Elder Scrolls Skyrim, fooling around with mods and such. Apparantly in that game, clothes don't just go over your characters body parts-they replace them. Because of this, your character without gear could have a really curvy body but if you decide to wear a modded outfit that wasn't fitted to their shape, they end up becoming whatever shape the outfit was made for instead of the one you chose. I think maybe FFxiv does the same thing since my characters breasts seem to change size depending on what shirt I've got on. Make's bikinis hella dissapointing on my max bust Femroe.
Since outfits all have to fit a certain shape, I don't think we can have body shapes that break the current molds because it means making a new version of every piece of gear. This is why the female characters lost their butts ( so the male characters wouldn't have bubble buts when they wore armor.) So any race they decide to add would have to be "a current race with extra parts" on them like what happened with the Au'ra.
Improving the old models will open the way for more varied races in the future I think, since it'll give the devs a more versatile "base" to build from.

Why not both? New race and improve the customization of the others.

Because the devs had a hard enough time doing 1 new race and 3 jobs for HW (partly due to NIN). Adding MORE work means we likely lose something else. And I don't know about you, but I'm not willing to give up a 3rd job so someone can make their catgirl look like a special snowflake.
I'm not "so dissatisfied", i like my Au ra (and i wanted some change) but i find it sad to spend ressources adding races that are just copy past of others, i mean, it's "just" a miquo'te with scales :/
On the contrary, men look very demonic, i just don't get why they kept that aspect for men but changed it to teenagers for females :/
Wich I find strange for a "succubus" race xD
EDIT: does anyone know how i can get past the daily restriction regarding messages ? it won't let me post any others oO

People don't know how to take criticism anymore, and bad play is rewarded with with a coddling mentality. Yes, this is a casual game for the most part - that doesn't mean people need to walk on eggshells in fear of getting reported for pointing out things. This whole 'please don't say anything even slightly negative' mentality that we seem to be going towards and the devs seemingly pushing towards it is creating a disturbing trend.
ooooh open beta for me, so we're probably around the same unless you got into the closed
