If My Character Name Was "Asdfhjkl Uikjjiijk", How Would You React?

The thought of this case study has crossed my mind every now and then. I've debated what would happen if I named my character some form of gobbledyguk nonsense, but was very active and social as a character on my server.

How would you react to someone with a name (as in the title) if they popped into DF and actually said something like, "Hello, how's your day going"? Would you leave thinking it was a gil spammer right off the bat? Would you report me if I made a PF? What if I shouted out a B-rank location in /shout, would you blacklist me?

I think it would be an interesting experiment. Thoughts?

Roegadyn have been booted from LSes before such as the Novice Network. I chose a Hellsguard name so I'm alright.

I've seen some legit Roegadyn names pumped out by the randomizer that are pure nonsense. And my initial thought was "spammer/botter" but since they're doing normal player stuff I instead marvel at what the name randomizer can come out with.

To each their own, but it would drive me crazy to look at my character's name of "Blumwhegksi Fluehwhyn". Why, oh why, do people take Roe names! Haha

I think the Roe's gibberish names are supposed to be based on traditional Welsh names.

The names drive me crazy, but after being in a full roegadyn LS for long enough, they are starting to make more sense to me. They are all parts of words that come together to make the name. I didn't know that until I left Lamia and went to Balmung. Most of the trolls/assholes I met in the duty finder were male roes, with the traditional roegadyn naming conventions...so for the longest time I thought they were just purposely making their names difficult so you couldn't report them. :P It's my first MMO

Oh me too. At least Hellguard Roegadyns aren't as bad. But, hoo-boy, them poor Sea Wolves.

Sometimes I wonder if Welsh names are like they are just for the sole purpose to frustrate foreign invaders, such as the Romans.

They are making PUGs on Balmung now...I'm not sure why. I'd think the THM/BLM route would still be working for them. But large groups of adslfk;adslf kljdfal;kj pugs were doing the dummy striking quest in the street in Ul'Dah yesterday.

Initially, I would think bot, if I saw that kind of name pop up in the DF party... but not leave immediately - I'd more than likely wait and see it out.
If you or the person with such name is being obviously social/friendly, I'd likely look passed that and just assume it was some kind of inside joke or 'statement' (especially if Roe, thanks to the Sea Wolves names), and ignore the initial perception of the name - and instead focus on the person's personality/socializing/interaction - I'm a bit of a mirror - if you're nice and social, then I'll be nice and social (though, some types of social takes me a little while to open up). And then probably either call you/them "Asdf" or purposefully random sprawlings of my own keyboard smatterings, depending on how much you/the person joked around/seem to be able to take your own name lightly. "Thanks for hte party, fhgjkslffhdsjk!" "Hey fhsjk!" "Nooo don't die, kdshfjkds!", "fhdjsjkf, LB", "Carry us, gfhdjsjfgdsj xD" ;x
