Can we stop destroying the solo part of this game?

well most people are saying if you want to solo to look for even matches now. Solo will never get as much xp as party, thats the way they design it, its a way to encourage party play

Don't turn this into a FFXI clone where you are forced to party to do anything in the game. That's what turned me off that game and it is what made a lot of people leave for other mmos who had a more casual approach.

You're not forced to solo, but I think having party benefits is the best thing this game has going for it. It actually encourages multiplayer PvE, something I find other MMOs do not.

I also don't think this feels like an FFXI clone, but is beginning to borrow it's best assets.

that's fine, partying gave you more SP then solo in the past too and it is the same in every other mmo. But now solo is pretty much dead... if you are masochist and want to grind your life out then you will enjoy the new solo.... as for the rest of us well we want to have the option to do what the hell we want! I don't have time to spend hours with a party and yes even tho' it is quick to form a new party, i don't like playing with them for just a short while and having to ditch then. I just don't have that much time anymore.

Oh i don't even worry about exp
Just always was fun to be able to kill something above your lvl..
Same lvl is like bwah not that cool or fun.
But something 6 lvl's higher was fun hehe.
I don't mind getting lesser exp then a party.
Makes our solo work have more efford in getting a 50 instead of powerleveling with a party
Just having some more cure options would be needed though.

But people always start trolling on these forums..
No wonder no one likes to use em as they are waaay unfriendly.
They should ban like 40% of em that always troll on other peoples posts.
They don't do anything beifecial anyway.

you may be having a hard time because of your gear. With the new stats gear plays a heavy role in your stats. My dated iron cuirass has around 175 def at rank47(im prob off a little on def and rank) the new cobalt has roughly 100 more def. Im not even attempting to tank anything till i re-gear my character. And then here materia.

You may ave to make sure you character build is top notch if you dont want to fight enemys taht are you equal or lesser lvl.

the lvl is just a superficial #. if you can kill 2-3 ranks over you now then your doing good. Would you prefer they just changed the numbers to make you fell like your doing better.

i used to kill 10-15 ranks about me for 350 sp and it didnt make sense. something = to you should be hard cause it is your =

See the PUBLIC ? That means EVERYONE can post his feeling/experiance of the game.

I guess i expected a response like that, but by that token, my response to your OP was merely me putting in my opinion. It is nothing personal, it would just be nice for a change to see constructive threads rather than ill-informed QQ's

just tried to kill 2 lvl 46 Toxic Flytraps....
Died twice already. Impossible to do..
And i don't think the dated bs has anything to do with this.

Stop trying to kill monsters +3 levels heigher, they changed the game, learn to adapt.

A few pointers for you :-

Make sure you replace all your gear with new stuff
Make sure its optimal for your level or slightly lower, (higher level armor has a massive penalty hit to def now)
Make sure you have gear which is optimal for your class (see above)
Stop trying to kill monsters higher than yourself.
Try making friends with a mage.
