I've already leveled everything to 50+ or higher (combat classes, crafters, and gatherers) so I'm sympathetic to those that don't want to spend a whole lot of time doing it. I'm not against this consumable at all. Especially since I've had friends that quit because of the ARR MSQ grind and want the expansion but I have to tell them not to bother because it's worthless to them unless they are absolutely desperate to play an Au Ra.

Paying to have the game play itself for me? Why would I do that![]()
Leave it as-is.

I don't know if this has already been mentioned or not but can you imagine the possibilities if got ahold of said level jumping potions. Think RMT's are bad now. Implement the level jumping potions and see how bad they will get. At least that's my opinion.

Imagine all the bots that get to just skip all the early grinding.
If they do the leveling potion I'm sure it would be only for a single combat class, not all classes and definitely not gathering/crafting classes.
This sounds absolutely horrifying. Please no!

Yes, till level 60 pleaseeeeee!POLL: http://www.strawpoll.me/10509703
The poll allows multiple answers so the Devs are clear what we want ( I also posted this link on reddit)
Pick all that apply:
Yes, til level 60!
Yes, til level 50!
No, just shortened MSQ requirements!
No, just make all 3.0 and 4.0 jobs available w/o story being completed as long as player is at lv 30.
No, leave things as is!
FYI this straw poll is posted on ps4 reddit, mmorpg reddit, and ff14 reddit pages)
But since I'm a selfish cat, I just want the potion to be available to those that completed the 3.0 MSQ before!
I want the potion for my alt characters.

While I originally supported this, or somehow condensing the storyline to trim out the fetch quests. Good points have been made that the overall cost and time doing so would likely be of a greater detriment than a benefit. The devs would need to rewrite huge portions of the whole story to accommodate changes whereas a level jump potion allows them to focus on new content. I don't like the idea, but I do understand why they're considering it. You simply won't get people to play the game if they have to run through a gauntlet of quests. As for bad players in the DF. Let's be honest, new players who want to improve will ask questions and research on their own. Bad players will remain bad no matter what you throw at them because they don't care. Not amount of story content will convince an ice mage to play Black Mage properly. No, just shortened MSQ requirements!

Actually I guess an alternative could be that they just put a warning on the potion and just mention that using this potion may make the story not make sense or something along those lines and let them go to Ishgard ASAP so that once they hit 30 they can get the classes and jobs but still required to do the story. Least I know that was the main issue I recall hearing was just that new people couldn't touch the new jobs without completing the story, least this way they still can get them. On the other side though, least they are doing the smart thing (as I recall mention) that they won't be locking any new classes behind the Main Story.
