YoshiP No more Region Exclusive Items, Please.

To be fair, China and Korea got those items because their government censors refused some outfits from the rest of the games. It was the Thanaverian ones I think but don't quote me. So to be "fair" it seems unfair to them if you ask me. Those outfits are neat, but it would be unfair if we got that too. IMHO.

I won't quote you on it but if that is the case then it still doesn't excuse the region lock. Censorship has all the time and many times portions of games are cut out whether it's a eastern release being ported to western players or vice versa. But while they're getting something for free to possibly make up for their governments choice to censor media, players who live in regions where things are less censored seemingly get nothing. You could argue that yes, NA players might have a more full game and these things are nothing that impact actual gameplay, and I full heartedly agree. But by region locking items because reason X makes and not giving other regions some as well because reason Y, makes the matter worse. They can keep those items respectively to China and Korea, but at least give consideration to other areas and give them regional items as well.

I could see the issue with the exlusive items being part of a deal with the companies running them in China and Korea, but if that were part of the problem, why then would YoshiP ask us to give feedback regarding getting these items in other regions. And, further speculation on my part, would it really be an issue when it's clear that SE is the one that owns the assets for this art since they are the once producing it?

1.) To my understanding the items were made by the Chinese/Korean/whatever entity bought the copyright, and so the outfits are NOT owned by SE.

2.) While this is the case that doesn't mean SE can't come to some sort of deal to have them released internationally anyways. Or atleast attempt.

While I understand you are addressing the person whom you quoted, I feel as if that statement is unfairly broad. I'm certainly not going to put up the pitchforks and throw out my sub on account of pixels, and I have my own share of frustrations over the housing situation. (My FC has had the money for a large house for over a year and we still haven't been able to get one) but I don't make threads about those frustrations because there are already dozens and dozens of them. I made a thread about this, not because I feel entilted to have them, but because: We were asked to provide feedback, there aren't nearly as many threads about the exlusive items as there are other issues, and I simply would like, not need, to have these items come over. Feeling frustrated that other regions get items doesn't mean someone is entilted, but it is an opinion.

Region Exclusives just isn't an issue other than for people who suffer from jealousy. There is no actual reason to give the items to players in other regions that can't be referred back to feeling entitled to them.

Well, I don't play this game to get some free/unique items. I'd rather have their efforts spent on new GAME content. Housing, dungeons, raids, equips, invo. I am about to consider paying for a retainer because I just began crafting on several classes, and unless I start throwing away the equip I've saved for glamouring (and for leveling my current classes) I just have no where to store it (and believe me, I got rid of half my things just a couple of weeks ago).There are still barriers, legal barries, language barriers, etc, so we can't just magically be given everything other regions get. Some of these items, like the 7-eleven items were part of a marketing effort.

Perhaps they still believe that simply wouldn't work here (and there's the matter of people abusing the amazon promo, but that's another topic).
Plus if what some people said here, that China didn't get some items because of government censorship, then it's fair they get something else. Why is everyone here so entitled?

Why did we not get the Korean new years outfits with the dorman magpie then? You have no better clue than anyone else here as to what motivates exclusivity of these items. It could be legal, it could be a lack of dev time, it could be greed and laziness. None of us really know the reason. I do have a really big issue with regions getting very popular mounts that the NA/EU community has very little chance of ever seeing. We still don't have the Chinese dragon mount and we are likely to see the same fate befall the nimbus mount.

You are damn right I am entitled. I pay for this game and I don't want a region locked mount that is reminiscent of one of the most popular anime mounts ever conceived. A reskinend behemoth mount is leagues different from a unique flying cloud mount.

If you want game issues addressed, go to a tread that talks about game issues. Don't come into a thread about region locked items and try to derail it with your concerns about an irrelevant topic to the thread.

Yup, I pay money to play this game and you can bet on it that I feel entitled to have access to all game features, items, and content based off of that sub fee. Sorry if you think less of your own money, but I work hard for mine and I don't want to feel like a 2nd rate customer.

So because I would like to wear an outfit which would be a nice representation of my mixed ancestry but can not because I am american born and raised I am jealous and entilted? That sounds rather small minded.

Because I'm not saying I should because allowed. I am expressing an opinion that I would like to be allowed. There is a difference between feeling deserving of something for no other reason than because you think you should be and simply liking the idea of having something and putting up a request to make it so.

Ghh so your not saying you "should be allowed it" but you are saying "I actually should be allowed it"... Why is it just not - "Oh I'm not allowed it? Oh well I'll just pick something else from the 100000 glamours in game"

It's still feeling entitled to in game items that you really shouldn't even be asking for since you are on the excluded list. Again kinda the point of exclusive items.

*snerks* You seem to be intentionally misreading what I have to say despite my rather friendly attempts at explaining. But hey, if you want to accuse me of being entilted, feel free. At the end of the day what I have to say, and what you have to say, are merely opinions and people can take them or leave them as they so desire.
