Why do some dungeon gear look alike?

It's kinda unfair that Dragoon is the only job to get unique gears most of the time.

They also don't have to battling any other job for the Maiming accessories.


- Tank gears - 3 jobs fighting for the same thing

- BRD/MCH - 2 jobs fighting for the same thing

- MNK/NIN - color swapped

- Healer/Caster - color swapped, 2 jobs fighting for the same thing (3 jobs for healers)

- DRG - yeah! I kept dying and fell off cliff but I'll get the unique gears with no one that can Need it beside other dragoons!

First of all, maiming accessories haven't been a thing since the first Binding Coil of Bahamut. Unless you mean slaying accessories, which are used by Monks.

Second, the majority of the Dragoon armor sets introduced in HW share the model with the tank set (Dusk Vigil, The Aery, The Vault, Aboretum/Pharos HM, Antitower/Lost City HM, Sohr Khai/Hullbreaker HM, Weeping City of Mhach)
I'd be inclined to add Void Ark to that list as well, since the Dragoon VA set is almost like the tank set, minus the skirt.
Gordias and Midas sets are shared between Dragoons and Monks.

That leaves the law set, the lore set, and the Neverreap/Fractal set (leaving out Eso, since that's unique for all classes), hardly something I'd consider "most of the time"
