Blue mage

So anyway, if we get blue mage I'm fairly certain there won't be any real customization, it will be highly structured with all of the spells and abilities done solely through job quests with every ability focused solely on supporting whatever it's role is with a defensive and offensive cooldown thrown in here and there. The only spell I really want to see is Big Guard as a defensive cooldown and it's aoe being Shockwave Pulsar because of reasons.

Only issue is Mighty Guard is already Tank LB2. So they would have to call it something else.

Or make BLU a Mage Tank.

Well I agree and also wonder where theyre going with this palace of the dead, not sure if you seen some of the trailer gameplay for it, but looks like items can be used to transform into things like succubus and two legged dragons and even use their spells and abilities for a period of time - something similar could be some weird adverse to a bst/tamer/bluemage job imo

I don't care ONE BIT how BLU is implemented. It could be completely watered down homogenized garbage and I'd STILL play it until the day the servers go down.

Seriously. Give me a whip, dual swords, a spear, a fork. Hell, give me the "rock in a sack" someone mentioned earlier. Make me learn boring spells every few levels scripted or make me hunt them down. Make it a tank or DPS, I literally DO NOT CARE.

Like I don't think you understand. In FF7 I pass out Enemy Skill Materia like free donuts. In FF8 I stop playing when Quistis beefs it. In FF9 I freaking use QUINA GOD DAMN QUEN. EVER SINCE FF5 IT HAS BEEN MY ALL TIME FAVORITE JOB IN EVERY FF ITERATION. Magus? LOVE HIM. Kimahri? MY MAN. Gun Mage Dress Sphere? Okay X-2 was bad but still. I have actually debated quitting XIV and going back to the train wreck that is now XI JUST to play BLU. I want it that badly.

Exactly why I don't want Beastmaster in this game. Wouldn't be the same.

I have main tanked pretty much since the day I started to play this game. If they add blue mage as anything, I don't care what, I will switch to that immediately. I don't care what they have to do to get it into the game. My top concerns are: Will it have enemy or enemy like abilities? Will it have enemy attack names at the very least? Will the animations be more monstrous looking instead of casting, like doing things like spitting seeds? If those things are met, or even somewhat met, I will play blue day one and never anything else.
