Actually, better yet fight enemies 1 level above you. You should get like 350 XP if not you not fighting the right stuff...link chain it = 500 XP per kill up to 700 if you do it properly. This is solo experience...if you party you can get 1000+ per kill.

Prepatch we were killing thing 5 levels above us for barely 200 XP. So just 1 level higher then you the enemy is easy cakes and gives more experience. Not sure why you all complaining...

They have reworked the field maps to definitely help with progression of leveling. I moved around some map areas to see mobs...and they transitioned them very nice from one level area to the next. There should be no problems with this.
This is exactly the point I was making on the last page, before someone came along and raged that I was wrong. If you were fighting an even-level mob pre-1.19, your xp would have been...75-150. Now, mobs that are three levels below you, give this amount.

That's because both of you are dead wrong. You may have seen more XP per mob at higher levels, but at anything 20 or below, the XP has been REDUCED severely. Please stop spreading the misinformation that you are getting more XP all the time, because it absolutely isn't true. At higher levels it is, at lower levels its absolutely NOT.

Thank you for clearing this up. I just killed a level 14 mob as a level 12 and I only got 215(ish). So this thread confused me greatly.

Has anybody found a way to beat the low-level dun-drums? It's seriously a pain in the ass. The only solution that I'm finding is to grind mobs that are 2 levels bellow me, and I'm pulling my hair out on how freakin' dull this is. I tried partying but I couldn't find much of response from Uldah.
