Its actually kind of interesting seeing ppl place meteors that way, but if it works for ppl by all means.
T9 is not the example you want to use to try to encourage people through this raid. Just saying.T9 had harder meteor positioning and people still managed it through.
I don't get the mad people on either side. It's still week one. Why are people scared of nerfs or mad at the clear rate when it's understandable that not alot of people will clear this on week one. I've never understood this on mmos. It's like people are expected to have it cleared and mastered before the first hour dropped. Who are these people? On the same token people expect it to be finished and and masted but get pissed when it's not and call for nerf. What ever happened to not being scared of dying but learning from each death to become better? See this is why the state of gaming is shit cause we no longer have gameovers. The game over knocked you back to real life. It meant you sucked at whatever point and you needed to get back up and try again. I'm not saying it needs to be harder but if it's at the point where we need an entire thread to beg for it NOT to be nerfed cause people are dying on week one - like you should- then we live in a bad time for gaming.
I never said it is hard for me so A+ on the assumptions. I stated the fight is badly designed because the mechanics we have for it come from previous fights that utilized the mechanics better than the Ozma fight.
My entire point was that mechanics feel forced on Ozma in comparison to other fights with similar situations because of how much smaller the playable area is for Ozma. Even the area with Ozmashade feels forced and throws off the flow of the fight, black hole doesn't deal any damage, so while the transition is awesome, the fact were being swallowed should hurt us. We get dumped off into a LoA mechanic, followed up into a face roll beat down of the shade.
This mechanic is sorta like WoD with Cerberus stomach, you go inside it, do damage, and leave. But with Ozma it feels off because how it transitions, I can keep going and making comparisons between fights, but the fact remains that Ozma is a collection of mechs from previous fights throw together into one fight as was Thordan. And the only reason people are struggling with this fight and labeling it tough are because of how the mechanics are used here not because Ozma. Ozma isnt throwing down tank busters, debuffs, or even a hard dps check. It's just a heal check with a bunch of mechanics thrown all over the place.

As already stated the issues aren't the meteor by themselves but Ozma being able to toss meteors and triangle bombs at the same time in P2. When you get the bombs and have to move due to meteors, it just can t work. As a tank the only way I get through this if I have the bomb (as I have to tank the adds) is to use invincible and pray the situation doesn't occur again later in the fight.
Every single alliance I did it with wiped or almost wiped at that point.
Signed. Ozma was hella fun even if he was a pain in the ass to learn. I want more fights like him. People just cry because they're learning new mechanics for the first time and they seem hard. Talk it through and help each other know what to do.
Heaven forbid TALK to the new people in the raid and tell them what to do if they don't know. I mean it's easy: (I'll even spoiler it just in case... >.>; )
Boss is triangle, don't stand in the rectangle area. Cube mode, gather near boss and have the tank stand in the donut and gather orbs. Dice over your head? Stop everything.

Indeed, Steps of Faith did not need a nerf, but the community is the one to blame for that, not just the people asking for it because it was hard, but also the "too good" players who would drop the instance as soon as they loaded in, not even giving it a chance or two, or even trying to assist new players needed to clear that content to progress on their quest.
Hopefully more people stops being so harsh on new players, and spends some minutes with explaining mechanics and giving it a try, and if it doesn't work out, at least you allowed them to try and fail, and hopefully they learned something about the fight,m so next time they go in, they are a step ahead.
How so? It's way easier to coordinate than left and right.
In my experience it's always the groups where the tank picks up orbs that wipe the most consistently; imo it's easier for a DPS to do, you just have to coordinate if beforehand, so you don't have several people running in.
There's a lot going on with Ozma for a 24-raid boss. Besides the most obvious mechanics, I feel that the vast majority still doesn't know how the AoE Bleed Debuff works, which I've seen whole alliances wiping to as well. But overall it's just an insanely well designed and fun Boss that I'm always looking forward to. Just don't get discouraged when people don't seem to listen or care for explanations. People not following mechanics properly the first time around? Explain even "harder" for the second round *g*
My experience was that the healers cover it.
You have tank stand in right corner, dps in left corner, healers in the back nab orbs and keep each other healed. This way a lot more DPS is dealt during the cube transformation.
