I decided to queue for mentor roulette as a tank - which is always a great decision.
I got ultima ex which was fine, except the other tank refused to take it off me for whatever reason, but he "dc's" and we get a better tank who actually swaps but the dps still manages to fail the wipe mechanics 7 times even with tank LB.
Starting to question if the extra gil bonus is worth the headache that comes with queuing as a tank.

I just got into a duty finder in Void Ark (for the third time XD) that was in progress. I said my hellos and then noticed they were already almost finished. I was about to run all the way to where they were (because I didn't notice the teleporter), but when I took my first few steps, the dungeon had already been cleared! I laughed and typed in the party chat "We Won! XD" just to try and be funny and get a few laughs out of the others in my party because I just joined literally only a few seconds ago. ...Sadly, nobody said a word, but I did get two pieces of gear and a coffin lid because for some reason nobody wanted the gear and I was able to complete my Void Ark Ninja gear set and get a piece gear for my Machinist as well! ;3 Though, I'm not sure if Void Ark gives out weapons and accessories... I hope to get at least Void weapons if they exist too sometime! XD

Hats off to the ilvl 220+ WHM and SCH in the Void Ark run I just did, who let me die to a DoT in the ventilator section, then didn't bother to ress me, forcing me to run back and get locked out of the Sawtooth/Irminsul fight, and then claiming it's because I, as an ilvl 210 BLM, am irrelevant to the success of the run. Thanks for the break; if you don't want to put in any effort, I don't see why I should either.

Hats off too, to the tank who pulled and locked out 2 DPS, hats off to that entire alliance, in fact, for showing me that those bosses actually have an enrage, and wiping to it.

But yeah, thanks to those healers, I've learnt a very important lesson: Based on what I've seen from them, I could go into VA as any healer job, at ilvl 188, and solo heal the entire run.

Solo Healing Void Ark is no good Idea. I told the other HLR in Void Ark today, "I Solo Heal" at the Third Boss. No response back though. At the start I entered Cleric Stance and everyone had the usual 1 Bleed Stack, DPS'd until the Adds come up and you can imagine what the second HLR did.... Totally under stress (Everyone was at max. 85-90% HP lol...) and spamming AoE Spells. On top of that using Cure II Spells on everyone who dipped by 1-2% ...

There was no Reason not to enter Cleric Stance and DPS, it's not like Bleed will sap everyones HP down to 10% HP in a matter of seconds... right

One Guy died twice while being puked on, that was it for the entire Run, heck.

Fourth Boss, Echidna... Ya this time I said nothing and we both Healed, got petrified twice because of other Alliances Tank who put Echidna herself near our Snake. The other Time while I buffed someone by mistake and faced Echidna.

The entire Run was so smooth, usually I heal the Tank when it is needed otherwise I contribute to Damage / Buff People.
The worst thing you can do as a Healer is standing dumb around, waiting for the Tank or someone to drop some Health and then frigging mass-spam Cure II...

Not to mention, that Guy/Girl/Whatever whispered me after that Run. (Thanks for the Attention even after the Run)



*Sigh...* If you want more Challenge for yourself, you only get Players who are upset for no Reason I assume.

I wonder why people make such a big deal about getting hit with Petrifaction. But then again, I'm quickly growing to learn that people who insult others for getting hit with Petrify, are usually those who have failed at everything else and just need to find some way to feel better about themselves.

So I went through VA again, as an ilvl 188 SCH. The other healer in my alliance was a WHM with slightly better gear. People died, sure, but we didn't wipe. I suspect that's because we were actually healing, instead of standing around and marking other players to harass out of spite.

Void Ark truly is a Joke compared to the Weeping City of Mhach in terms of difficulty.
As a HLR you're not even in need to Heal anyone if they atleast do the Mechanics right,... since Bosses like Cúchulainn die in 3-4 Minutes there is almost no reason to cause a Wipe or Snowball Effect in your Group.
The only Dangerous things are Echidna and the Poison Room itself (Heck, I had a Enrage in there once, it deals 9.999 Damage everytime it ticks)

Now talking about the City of Mhach, the difficulty is more Midcore, your Group or the entire Alliance gets Rewarded when Mechanics are done correctly, that simple means, you can DPS all you want as a HLR.
Though... I wouldn't suspect this is going to happen in this Month ...

People get upset at the last Boss mainly because if you have too much Vulnerable Stacks, they assume you're bad at dodging or you ain't doing anything at all.
Thing is, not only Patrification causes this, her AoE Attacks does this aswell.

As a Nocturnal AST most People can't see me actually Healing as I use Instant Abilities and Shields, Lightspeed aswell which you have to count in so of course well, one can say I'm DPS'ing all the Time and Cleric Stancing isn't really a hard thing to do, just to Heal a Tank up ^^

Did WCoM with my boyfriend because he hasn't gotten his loot yet. We were there for the full time, but I'm gonna post about a specific part because I was both stressed, proud of myself, and totally drained of all my willpower after that, LOL.

We got to Ozma and it was our 2nd or 3rd attempt. The healers in Alliance B had decided to gtfo 'cause they died during Atamos. And they called for a wipe so I said, "I got it". So I ditched my party at A to go heal B. Luckily I didn't get any meteors, but my AoE heals didn't work so I was having to Cure I/Cure II/Regen the lot of them >.< My co-healer had a hard time solo healing, so I looked over to find my alliance dead. I popped sprint, ran into range and LB3'd. Thinking that maybe I could get back to B in time to avoid causing a wipe.

And I

Just couldn't make it back in time.

It seems to me that the healers who don't DPS also let me die the most.

I did a Fractal Continuum run a few nights ago where, on the last boss, the healer refused to cleanse the bomb off of us, so me (monk) and the tank were just knocking each other around with every tick. Eventually, I got knocked into a mine, on a blue panel, and died instantly. Healer says, "plz don't run over the mines and do your job." I just responded, "gurl" and she went -____-;;.

Just now, died three times in a Hullbreaker Normal run, all three times to incidental damage with a healer just not healing me. One of those times, it was on the 2nd boss when he was burrowing. I had 4k HP and the DoT ticked for 1k. Sure enough, the healer didn't bother to heal me even though there was no boss around.

If healers aren't going to DPS, then there's no reason anyone should be dying unless they do something wrong. This happens frequently to me.
