They did that on my first run and I literally couldnt read it, it was TOO much, so I asked my friend and she explained everything in 2-3 sentences. (Ozma, too). Im the kind of player that understands mechanics after 1-2 deaths. I think we've all experienced that person at work who tries to "help" but ends up making it harder, lol.
It's more than that to me... Letting people die over and over until they wholly understand the mechanics and how to execute them properly creates a much better playerbase with a much higher skill floor that is capable of critical thinking, but people just aren't patient enough to help them achieve that. Maybe it's a bit idealist of me, but I'd rather wipe while people use their brains to solve the issue instead of pass the first time because their teammate "told them the answer", so to speak.

I guess it just boils down to, some people would rather read a guide first, but I came from an era where there weren't really "guides" and you were expected to die and do dumb stuff a lot until you won.

I agree. When I consider how I play other games (Overwatch, Monster Hunter, Dark Souls to name a few), I much prefer the learning experience over the guided experience. Its a personal preference that, imo, is not communicated much between team members.

For example, you spend, say, 50-60 minutes getting to Ozma and then Wipe; raid clears. Do that again just to get to Ozma for the wipe; raid clears again.

    Then do that again.

Oh, and keep in mind you have limited game time because you have a full work week, so you've spent a tremendous amount of time (~4 hours wiping to up to/and to Ozma).

    Salt shaker spills.
Isn't that the way it goes tho? You - they- can not expect everyone to be at their level. It's never going to happen. If people don't have the time to be understanding on week no day one then they need to work out their time better. I say this as a veteran who was overseas and still was able to play video games and not be an ass. So to me limited time is no excuse to be an asshole. But that's just me.

I had not noticed any real lag and played Ninja earlier (so would be noticeable, lol) but i was most definately out of the attack before it went off. Happened twice actually yesterday.
Once were i could just run out of the way and the other i used Aetherial Manipulation, again.. i was out of the attack but got hit. So not really sure wth.
Wish i would have recorded it

People want it NOW, not later so watch a video or learn the mechanics before coming in. That seems to be the basic thinking for most people now which is sad. I went in night 1 of patch and luckily it was friendly, we wiped a few times but we still cleared it first time cus we took a moment to pause and evaluate what happened. None of this "Screw you, get it right! *pull*" The salty people in there are more than likely the ones who already cleared it and never got the item they needed, thus they feel they need to lash at everyone who is "wasting time" from them getting what they want. I got lucky first time and got the healer pants myself.

People just need to learn to calm down, they will go MUCH faster if they decide to explain rather than rage.

I don't know if it's been mentioned yet, but there's a certain psychology that's taken effect here.

Word has gotten out that Weeping City of Mhach is difficult or that alliaces tend to wipe a lot there. This might lead some to enter with already low expectations and underperform "cause it's just gonna be full of fail anyways". (I've heard a player say this.) And when the wipes DO eventually happen, people are either resolved to divert the blame (because they werent really trying, or or out of expectation), or inclined to rage freely because the instance is now so hyped up to be bad.

All in all, Mhach is one big awareness check. Free your mind of all doubts before going in, and deal with what comes as it comes. Pay attention and be ready to adapt when the time comes. If 24 or so people can do that, you'll be amazed at how quick and easy it becomes.

My first attempt at this ended in a vote abandon yesterday. Hoping for another run at it tonight.

That said, I'm glad it's this difficult. Time for people to grow the **** up and not feel so entitled for their daily/weekly rewards... and I'm a casual player.

My rant applies to "hardcore" players who can't be ****ed to wipe a few times and let others learn the fights.

Went in earlier today, my first run in that place, and somebody decided to pop "Vote Abandon" after every single wipe on 3rd boss, Ozma. We even got it down to 20% on second try, but nope - another vote abandon -attempt.

If people want to leave that badly, why do they need to try to take down whole raid instead of.. you know, just leaving? Even had his/her chance to leave when we were looking for replacement.

Another thing to keep in mind...

With this content being just days old, I think we're still seeing people who really want to just go in cold and experience it "new" without being told how to do the dance. And I can respect that.

Give it a few more days, and that will no longer be the case. People will start watching videos, reading guides, asking for guidance and generally open themselves for instruction.

    We will survive!

I agree, night one I had to ignore the alliance chat because they wanted to explain everything, my party was more understanding and just gave a vague idea without ruining it all.
