Astrope, the 2 seater pegasus takes over 5 years to obtain if you do it casually

I already have 3 mounts that can fly and are two seaters. I'm not losing sleep over this one.

Whenever I queue up Mentor Roulette and see that 2 2 4 pop up, I feel equal parts dread and excitement. Most of the time, we're able to pull off a win against an Ex primal, but on the occasions when it doesn't happen that's an hour of effort with nothing to show for it besides the warm fuzzy of knowing that you helped some newbies get some practice.

I'm not sure how I feel about the requirements for Astrope. It doesn't really bother me, exactly; I'll get the thing eventually, and don't feel a big need to get it soon. I do worry that mentors-in-name-only will attempt to "grind" it and wind up engaging in some very un-mentor-like behavior in the process, such as kicking from party the newbies they're supposed to be helping out, or even just bailing on an instance the moment it looks hairy.

The "2000 commendations as a mentor" idea that was suggested really does seem like a better plan - though I'd amend it to be 2000 commendations in Mentor Roulette, not just 2000 commendations in general. That would keep it as a lofty goal to work for over a long period of time, while still encouraging good and helpful behavior on the Mentors' part. It would also encourage Mentors to stick it out for tough instances like Ex Primals, as the potential for getting four or more commendations in one shot would be quite enticing.

Change the achievement to:

Receive 1000 (or even 2000) Commendations in Mentor Roulette Duties.

-> Mentors have to actually be nice / helpful to work up to it. (or at the very least not be unfriendly / rushing)
-> Lower 'minimum amount of duties' required, since you can get multiple commendations a run

Exactly. This is what it should have been. The way it is now anyone can do the roulette, behave like a completely unhelpful douche and still get the reward eventually. Every time I think that they can't possibly screw up the Mentor system even more, they manage to surprise me and come up with things like this.

Curious to know what those games are, but that's not (usually) this game. Something that takes 5 years to unlock is completely out of place here. A Realm Reborn hasn't even been out 3 years yet!
