This was a really fun fight. I'm glad I got the group I did. It was like a couple hours after it went up and I was the second person in my FC to make it that far. Everyone else got distracted by the moogles. So I just queued and got a nice group. It felt like an FC group. Everyone was nice and joking around and willing to learn and make mistakes. I went in thinking it was going to be a face and was half paying attention and died to the very first mechanic. We wiped because we didn't kill adds fast enough. After that though everyone was focused and it took us a couple of tries to realize to stay stacked after first Stack here AoE marker goes away. It was kind of funny, that went away and everyone scattered and everyone died. But yeah, awesome group.
I had this really beast tank who coached everyone through it. Took like 6 wipes or something but we all pulled through and kilked it. One of the best experiences I've had with the game
Beat him with my first DF party. Wiped once early into the fight to the AoE mechanic, went smoothly the second time around. The whole group was new, so i gues this was a lucky one off.

Sounds like another run I only do 1x for Story Mode then never ever again!
Didn't feel this fight was that bad. The biggest thing that I think will trip people up is people not *staying* stacked for Akh Morn long enough -- a lot of people (myself included) will think that as soon as the ground marker disappears, it'll be okay to move, because that's how all other attacks with similar markers have been.
Not so, but I'd think most people tend to realize this one is different after one wipe to it. Kinda hard to ignore the fact that several consecutive pillars of pain hit you there.
The original Steps of Faith (in its pre-nerf incarnation) was a lot more unforgiving, and actually got me to swear off the trials roulette for a while. This one won't.
Beat it first time through df, no issues at all. Think we had an entire one death the run, and that was my df co-healer.
I've had some wipes, but it's not too rough a fight. I sincerely hope SE doesn't nerf it.
