Have you seen others do that, or is it your character specifically? If it's just you it might have something to do with your connection. I remember in WoW there were some walks you could go through by jerking your camera, don't ask me how though.

While I was snapping the screenshots, I saw someone run past me and jump in this area (it is part of a quest) and I thought I could see them sinking into the texture as well. So I think it is widespread and not related to my setup. I can post my system information if it helps; but in general I'm playing the PC version, 4K monitor w/3840x2160 resolution and a 980Ti graphics card (DirectX 11). My connection is a 150/150 MB fiber, direct 1G cable to source, no lag at all. This may just be a non-issue, perhaps they lightened up on collision detection in the area to aid with the quest? I don't know... but it looks weird and weighs heavy on my lalafell head!
