I think it's going to come from Recruitment. The 2-seater mounts have only come from Recruitment or Marriage since both involve being with someone, either friend or spouse.I'm starting to think it might be, because the color scheme for the mount's armor and the Field Commander's armor are almost identical. Plus if you look at the side of the mount, it does /kind/ of look like the Maelstrom symbol. I'm thinking this might be the Field Commander's Pegasus or something similar. And if they want to get people into PvP, what better way to do it than to add a double mount? I didn't see anything else that seemed like it would lead to a mount, and I'm hoping they stay true to their word and say that mentors will not get additional rewards to keep people from getting the status for the wrong reasons.

I honestly can't see them adding anything else to the recruitment rewards(or if they do it'll probably be more than just 1 item like the last recruitment upgrade with Twintania), but in the spirit of involving a 2nd person I think this may have something to do with the new Mentor Roulette achievements
There really is not much reward for doing that roulette besides being a GoodGuy™, so this may be to try making mentor roulette look more desirable in the long run rather than just increasing tomes it gives. (2000 is so many tho @_@)
Crap, there goes my plan for getting a blonde pompadour and dancing like Johnny Bravo lol.

But if that's the case it's a bit weird. Isn't being a mentor sort of "limited" to a certain amount of people? You can always refer a new friend, and if you got into the game because a friend of yours you can always start referring more and more. But a whole datacenter can't have Mentor Status just because of a mount. At some point more and more people will want to become mentors (mostly because of the mount, if that's the case), and some filtering will have to be done, like replacing old mentors with new ones, and on that matter I don't think it's fair for someone that likes to help people to lose his "spot" just because someone else want to run 2000 duties and get a mount. If it's a mentor reward it's a lose/lose situation either way. It's not like a tank mount, since "too much people playing tanks" will never be an issue.I honestly can't see them adding anything else to the recruitment rewards(or if they do it'll probably be more than just 1 item like the last recruitment upgrade with Twintania), but in the spirit of involving a 2nd person I think this may have something to do with the new Mentor Roulette achievements

No, there is no limit to how many mentors there can be.But if that's the case it's a bit weird. Isn't being a mentor sort of "limited" to a certain amount of people? But it doesn't make sense for every 60 character to suddenly become a mentor though. If that mount is related to that, we'll end up seeing parties with only mentors because of that, since everyone will want to be one, and that kinda kills purpose of mentor roulette (or the mentos system in general) having more non-mentors and new players than the other way around, I think.

It is possible however. There are more requirements than just being level 60 (Complete 1,000 dungeons, raids, or trials, 300 player commendations, and having done 1 lvl60 dps, healer and tank quest) but the idea of being a mentor is simply to help newer players so technically they'd want as many people helping as possible (which is what a few of the roulettes used to be but they ended up just being used for grinding out tomes and such).
The limit you are thinking about however is for the mentor channel for chatting with new players...to which honestly is already filled with "mentors" arguing over healers dps, and which tank is the best in the game, instead of properly answering simple newbie questions (honestly why i stopped using it after 3 weeks. -__-) I will agree there will be more people doing mentor roulette and some will be for the mount mainly but I feel like that 1000/2000 mark may deter players who don't care about new players at all as that is quite a bit of dedication lol
There's clearly far too much reward for being a mentor already. We've got more people with the "Mentor" status just for the crown icon and an extra roulette than we do who want to actually help newcomers. We need to eliminate the rewards and get rid of all the excess non-mentors falsely using that status, so the only ones left as mentors are the real ones who took the role because they want to help other players. Only then would it actually be useful for helping people find those players.
So I certainly hope they're not adding additional mentor rewards. We don't need even more fake mentors.

I just feel the need to say being being a "good guy" should be your one and only reward for becoming a mentor. You get a roulette that gives you tomes that non-mentors don't get and that's enough. If you're mentoring others for sparkly status rewards you're already doing it wrong. (And not you specifically even though I quoted you, I mean all mentors.)I honestly can't see them adding anything else to the recruitment rewards(or if they do it'll probably be more than just 1 item like the last recruitment upgrade with Twintania), but in the spirit of involving a 2nd person I think this may have something to do with the new Mentor Roulette achievements

There still needs to be some motivation to keep queuing the roulette and queue it more than once per day. 10 Lore a day means nothing when you cap out on Thursday and depending on your luck you could end up in an EX Primal with people who do not want to learn for 90 minutes.I just feel the need to say being being a "good guy" should be your one and only reward for becoming a mentor. The rewards are there for those who are truly dedicated to mentoring. I Hope Mentor Will Notice Me VI is just untenable for anyone unwilling to queue the Mentor roulette more than one time per day. It would take nearly 5 and a half years of queuing to complete it only queuing once per day and over a year queuing it 5 times a day (which does not have much of a reward after the first).
