The gap seems absolutly insane.
Red scrips gear isn't meant for omnicrafters, since those often have ways to accumulate enough wealth to meld the crafted version. Besides, all the relevant recipes with be tied to specialization, so the shared gear would only be effective on 3 DoH jobs at a time.
Another noteworthy thing from the famitsu interview is that Yoshi mentioned that red scrip gear can't be overmelded, so there's a chance that it'll have 100% meld slots (similar to current DoW/M gear)
