I was trying really hard to Sacred Soil, Adlo, and Lustrate myself so I could eat two of the orbs. But it wasn't working so well. >.<

[EDIT] And then I did Trial Roulette with teh boyfriend and we got Shiva HM. Aaand wiped 3 times, lol. Twice from lack of healing and once 'cause the tank cleaved 2/3 of the party (specifically all of the ranged). He was on MNK and I was on BLM.

[EDIT2] I had a really good Prae run to make up for it. Everyone was a vet and all we did was joke around and talk about mechanics. Queued with an FC mate and then Rei queued in and got our commendations for being sneaky.

So a few........ it was a few days o r a week after anti tower was released, I was smn, there was a blm, whm, and warrior( Honestly dont remember but his attitude reminded me of a sterotypical warrior who does). So the whm was new, his healing through the mobs was weird. He tried to dps and heal but wasn't having. So when we got to the first boss all hell broke lose, the tank told the healer to use esuana on him when he got the concussion debuff, healer either didn't see it or thought it was a different one because just looking at it reminds me of A5 with the debuff you get, which esuana couldn't negate. After that the tank started wailing on him with insults. Said the healer was terrible and other things I dont want to repeat.

Bit of a weird one last night...

My Fiance and I took one of our (recently returned to game) FC Buddies to Fractal for the first time. Party is a Pugged DRK, Myself and the FC member on DRG and my fiance on WHM. Zone in, everyone gives a friendly 'Hi', friend says they're new, Tank says they're new too and their gear indicates as such. Not the best geared, but not 'Ironworks gear in the Vault' bad geared. Manageable.

We proceed, joke about when my Fiance dies to an AoE towards the end of the first boss (He's a holy-happy-healer who sometimes forgets he's not on Bard and actually needs to heal and not drain all his MP on Stone III ;P) but we grit our teeth and make it through just fine. I make a few drg jokes as the norm and move on.

All is going well until the final section. We load into the large pull area where the mobs are all tethered to the device thingy, and the DRK proceeds to just tank the first cluster. Wanting to Holy Spam as usual, my fiance 'misclicks' a DoT onto a mob in the second cluster and they run in. The Drk moans but we slaughter the pack in seconds so I assume it was no issue... Turns out, that assumption was wrong. I have no idea wtf happened but suddenly this dude starts emoting during the next set of pulls. He's dancing at my fiance and the mobs mid-pull, runs off after establishing aggro to open a chest, Not moving out of AoEs, purposefully walking into the mine during the final boss when us melees are all in range to be hit by it etc. Weird stuff. Now, here's when it gets a little personal and he starts to insult our DPS in Party Chat.

Now, I get it, I'm not the best raid Drg and in DF I'm quite lazy. I'll pop an internal (or blood for blood if Internal is on CD) heavy thrust and Ring if it procs, and then just spam my Doom Spike until I'm out of TP or need to refresh my thrust. I can't be bothered to spend my oGCD jumps beside Dragonfire on trash packs, but when it comes to single target I ham everything I have. Lazy, but I still do enough to make a run go faster than it would with Average-Joe-DF-DPS. But I'm sorry Mr.DPS-is-apparently-low-but-I-can't-even-be-bothered-to-use-Darkside-DRK, My Fiance was parsing and I know for a fact our DPS was not low. Our newish 60 Drg friend was not quite hitting the numbers I was, but they are still a good Drg. I don't mention that we were parsing, we only use one because my fiance and I like to use it to compete with each other and help better ourselves for raid numbers etc. We never use it to bitch to/use against pugs.

If you're reading this, Mr.Drk, don't you dare insult DF peeps DPS when they are pulling numbers so high they can rip aggro off you even with you in Tank Stance, or even are doing over 4x your own DPS. Even heals was doing 2x your DPS. I was going to commend you for being a funny guy and who seemed to manage the dungeon well for your first time. But no. You lost it. As an endurance reward, I got the Owlette minion drop and I'm so f***ing happy you didn't get it with that attitude you displayed.

To be fair though, what is the pug supposed to base his opinion on? He doesn't know what else you do, or what you are capable of doing, all he sees is what you are doing, which by your own admission is just half-assing the dps. Agreed there is no need for his bitching and poor attitude.

Not sure what you mean, you use B4B if IR is on cooldown either

I guess. Unless he is parsing then he would only see me pop one buff per trash pull if he was paying attention to the ability buffs in the Party List. But bosses had everything thrown at them. The duty was finished in quite a tidy time too. No longer than 25 minutes, I'm sure. (Had to stop to brief friend on occasion over tactics before the bosses)

It just seemed a little uncalled for and random to bring such a thing up when all we did was pull in an extra 8 teeny, tiny, weak mobs.

25 minutes.. in fractals? That is shudder-worthy slow. The standard was 15 minutes 40 ilvls ago. This should take no longer than 12 minutes, so your run took over 200% the time necessary 0.0

As a side note, it is much better to line your buffs together because they are multiplicative. I am going to use two standard damage increases for simplicity, if you pop raging strikes for +20% and blood for blood for +10% you actually get your base damage 1 x RS 1.2 x B4B x 1.1 = 1.32 modifier (rather than a 1.2 and then later a 1.1).

That said, based on your story of the tank grabbing just the 1 tethered pack, I imagine a great part of why your run was so abysmally slow was due to the tank.
