Yes, I did too. But you know what I didn't hear? Assault of the Silver Dragons. I made a thread about it over a year ago and I'll probably have to /wrists if they don't deliver before the expansion is up.

It's just not right.
With this character's death, the thread of prophecy remains intact.
No one said anything about that, they probably just didn't like the look of the dungeons or the look of the content in general, I'm not speaking for them but I know that's what I think and I never asked them to redesign the whole end game, I don't even do savage raids i'm as casual as they come. I do like the new raid though just for the IX and V stuff. You don't think a patch trailer having to layout a redesign of the endgames structure isn't asking a little too much? Gameplay overhauls are a pretty huge deal for games like MMOs and screwing it up can seriously damage a game. Very few games try to do that type of overhaul during mid cycle patch. Its very high risk and major work.
A trailer can be Meh, but we wouldn't see huge overhaul to the game's content system without a huge amount of lead up and testing. Its not something that is going to pulled on us 2 weeks before a patch drops. Anyone hoping for such an overhaul is unlikely to see anything not 'Meh' for them till we start seeing things on the next expansion.
Thank you for reminding me of this, I made a similar assertion somewhere... Ishgard even has a fairly nice looking Airship sitting around in the Sea of Clowns that'll seemingly never be used...
Not that I'm as disappointed as I figured I'd be... What they have playing during most of the Nidhogg scenes here is just as fitting, and original to boot... You know what Yoshida, I'll forgive you if you just slap the FFIX OST on the Orchestrion...
Look back at the guy I quoted and you will see he literally said that. :PNo one said anything about that, they probably just didn't like the look of the dungeons or the look of the content in general, I'm not speaking for them but I know that's what I think and I never asked them to redesign the whole end game, I don't even do savage raids i'm as casual as they come. I'm not asking for 3.3 to overhaul the endgame structure, I did not say that, nor am I asking for 3.4 to do that. What I said was that this trailer does not excite me, nor have any others for a long time.
However WHEN they announce something or show some footage of features and content that overhauls the mundane endgame THEN I will be excited.
Further to this, why debate my opinion, share yours and go, just because im not giving this game a reach around it does not mean people need to pull it apart.
And then he goes on to say he didn't ask for overhaul. Some people don't like the new trailer it's okay, take it to reddit and tell them the official forums aren't white knighting everything for free upvotes and hugs if someone's opinion bothers you so much it's so childish.I think you are taking what I am saying a little too literally...

Just to self quote myself.
"So much meh in this trailer.
Gone are the days where these things wowed me. Show me a trailer redesigning the endgame structure of this game and relieving the mundanity felt a week after the patch has dropped and you will have me excited again."
Where did I say that I wanted THIS trailer to be a total overhaul. I said show me that and I will be excited.I didnt specify a time limit, or any kind of mid expansion requirement to this. So please dont try to say I "literally" said something, when I quite clearly did not.
I repeat my previous, stop debating my opinion, its my opinion and thats the end of it, you have nothing to gain here, just leave yours and I promise I wont debate it either...
I get where your coming from and don't completely disagree with you though I did get pretty excited by this trailer.
The way you phrased it though made it seem like its what you wanted. I guess my point was a matter of tempering expectations. I hope we see some changes to the formula when the next expac roles round but the game is what it is at the moment.
Either way it was mainly a passing comment. I didn't mean to make that big a deal out of it. All players opinions are valid, even the ones I don't agree with.
*gasp*
my biggest weakness
