be sure to have the gil or some1 to make u the HQ items...otherwise u will have 80 UNI items...and no way to advance until u get the gil or farm the mats ....

SE really outdone themselves with that step...the most annoying things in FFXIV in 1 quest , and the cherry on top 16 HQ crafted items....

If they took the HQ crafted items out of the equation and didn't throw in that kind of gil sink, I reckon no one would have been that overly bothered about the step.

I mean those who really want the relic asap can easily get the unidentified within a few weeks.

I don't feel like going beast tribes...never been into them much, only tried ixali back then in 2.0

Sorry if you already knew this, but the Ixali are different to all the others in that they are for crafting (you probably realised that much). The other 6 beast tribes (4 ARR, 2 HW) are all battle related. Go here/kill this, participate in X fate, carry this to there, kill something else etc. All pretty basic stuff that generally doesn't take long.

One of my FC had only started on the Ixali and he didn't like it so stopped and assumed all the other beast tribes were the same so didn't touch those either. If you ever want to do any crafting you'll also want to level all the beast tribes as you get access to their vendors to buy crafting ingredients.

But realistically if you don't have them levelled at all it's going to take a while for any of them to be levelled enough to help with your relic quest (to get high enough quests to get the tokens to later trade for relic items), but just really wanted to make sure you were aware they're battle related, not crafting related.

I'm aware...it's basic stuff but it's still boring, maybe a bit less than the ixali, but do "x fate" or "carry this to x place" doesn't sound very appealing, and I would have to start them from scratch because I have never attempted any beast tribe other than the ixali.
As I'm writing this, only managed to queue once for the arm of the father, rest of the time I've been waiting (maybe like 35 minutes). Have given up for Alexander queues, queued up for trials, relatively fast The Navel (hard) but no new player, so 15 tomes, as good as nothing. Twenty five minutes have past until I set up this Limitless blue Extreme bird farm, it's not many tomes but at least I thought I could be playing something while working for my relic while having a chance for that blue bird which I find very nice. No one has joined, not...a...single...person. Honestly I don't even know what to do but I'm very frustrated atm.

It would be more worthwhile if the relics offered a higher stat budget, but they don't. Better itemization, maybe, but the stat budget is the same as a HQ white of the same iLvl.

Give me +5 iLvl or it's not worth it, imo.

Beast tribes alone won't get your the relic quickly, but combined with other methods...

BT's combined with Poe/Eso is what i did and currently i have 2 completed and halfway done on 3rd, to give some context back in ARR i only managed to do just one so this newone is breeze compared to original.

I'm sure the easiest way to do it is to do the beastman quests and roullettes for eso/poetic tomes. lvl 50 roullette is one of the better roullettes, cuz it gives eso and poetics. You could prob do beastman quests while you are int the queue for roullettes to save a bit of time. But good luck, and if the quest isn't for you that's fine too. Also hunts are good because you get multiple currencies that can use to buy the relic items. I would imagine doing bismarck extreme would be one of the least efficient ways to do it.

OP. Start off by trying to gather a wyvrenskin map every day if you're a gatherer and do your daily roulettes for the tomes!

In the amount of time you waited for Gordias(which is a sure fire way to burn yourself out btw) you could have done 2 different tribe quests possibly 3 if you didn't get the FATE quests.

To add on the topic of Gordias: Primal datacenter it seems the Gordias queues are severly lacking in tanks. So queueing with tank support should help move those queues.
