How much help do you think the new beast tribe will be in leveling a crafting class?

That's fine, I've already been using them. Whistle and nymeias are great in most rotations.

Anyway, I'm rather disappointed if they are crafting. I've had everything at 60 for an age and a half at this point.

Why would you be disappointed if they are a crafting beast tribe (which they are, confirmed in the recent live letter), simply because you won't be getting exp? If the official live letter translation is anything to go by, then I'm actually glad I'll be able to do those quests at 60.

Similar to the Ixal quests, these new quests will be crafting-focused quests. They will be quests that you can level from 50 to 60, and you’ll get the materials during the quests. If you’ve already reached level 60, you will be able to earn grade V materia.

Missed that, but I also don't need materia anymore so it's just kinda eh for me.

You'll still have to meld the new 3.3 DoH set though, unless you're not planning to do any 4-star crafting in 3.4.

We can earn Grade V materia from doing the Moogle Quest!? Does that mean Grade V crafting materia?

If so, I'm really glad I could sell my grade V crafting materia for lots of gil before this was announced!
