Well, we've not actually seen what Nidhogg is capable of... For all of Ishgards history, he was effectively playing with them... When we encounter him, Estinien was playing interference... He was also down an eye for all we've known of him, though I wonder when he'd have potentially destroyed the floating continent; During his fight with Thordan or after? Regardless, he has a family history of that kind of power... Though one could argue the Agrius had more to do with Mor Dhona changing than Midgardsormr...

I really refuse to accept that the split occurred during the First Umbral Era... That's far too much time... I'd have far too many questions to contemplate if that's the case... For my own sanity, I'm going to hope Nidhogg huffs and he puffs and he blows Steps of Faith down... Let Nidhogg display some wind-calamity level power, I really don't want to have to consider why Mists and Twelveswood Kupo Nuts aren't entirely different species after literally all of recorded history splits their common ancestor...
