One of the design decisions when they migrated from 1.0 to 2.0 was to increase the number of armour options by decreasing the time it takes to make them.
The first sacrifice was the Miqo'te female buttocks. It wouldn't fit into an easily scalable piece of gear. Others were lots of clipping and misfit options. These kinds of issues you are concerned with wouldn't have ever flown in 1.x content.
Since it seems like such a fundamental standpoint of their development routine, I doubt you'll see change in this regards. However I'd fully support the idea of going back to 1.0 style armour design, where things fit properly, even at the cost of getting many designs out rapidly. It might slow down peoples glamours and many may look the same for a while, but if I could get my butt back it'd be happy days for all.

Well I'm going to stop you right there and let you know that this is not correct.
My tail clips with so much. It's not just the position of the tail that's the issue, it's the gear not contouring to the race using it.

This is correct. Clipping isn't seen as a major problem to them since people would rather have sets of glamours and gears come out more quickly. They keep this in mind when they design armor sets and ignore what it will look like with tails, horns, or hairstyles even. Its part of the reason I'm not a race with a tail anymore, since clipping isn't something I like, so I feel for you, but it is how it is... sadly..

I'm not struggling to understand your issue.
But why is it that this one particular case should be resolved when there's an overall situation regarding the same situation?
