FFXIV 2nd expansion: Viera-like race still a possibility?

Hence, a properly represented viera would be little more than an elezen with rabbit ears (not really sure where people keep getting tails from, I've played XII and they didn't have tails).

They do have tails, Frans was covered by leather though.

Viera, like Miqo'te and female Au Ra looks very human in appearance save for some anima parts here and there. It's no wonder why they're so popular due to it being familiar yet not too exotic enough for people to give those races a try.

For me, I want Viera due their body proportions. As other's have said, they're really your "classic" elves. Save for the rabbit, they're beautiful, tall, lean, and exudes elegance. Elevens are suppose to be that, they've got the emotes down, but their general appearance disproportionate.

The statement from Yoshi-P that they are simply Miqo'te with bunny ears is an oversimplification the vast differences in the races. You can already see the symbol of Azeyma the Warden in Azys Lla which suggest that miqo have a lot history that distinguishes them apart from Viera. They're different from the Elezen because while the Wildwood of Gridania are forest loving, their background is now becoming more associated with Ishgard. Most of the noble houses are Wildwood and to me seem to have a more French/European history and attitude that gives them strong roots in this culture as opposed to Viera.

Viera are known for their lace, leather and stilettos. Due to their body structure and elegance their gear/furnishings would be unique. I think a lacy hammock style bed or swinging type chair would be interesting to see.

Finally I would like to see Viera as it adds a FF feel that made me a fan of the games in the first place!

Take into consideration that the Viera won't look how they do in Ivalice. Their feet will be remade into normal feet. Their hands will be remade into normal hands, which will leave them with just a pair of rabbit ears... which will look horrible in head gear, because they will clip through it (like tails).

Personaly, I like to play a mixed race teen with the body and height as Hilda and Alphinaud, but if they can give us FFXII Viera, then I am oke with that aswell.
