Magitek Armor mount love thread.

And I don't want to look like part of it, i love how they look all badass.

Though a Harp bow that swaps from one to the other like lights sword... OWW... OK I'm in..

In the joke thread where someone pretended to translate a Russian interview with the devs, the OP mentioned using magitek to get through pools of acid and the like. It was all just the OP joking, of course, but something like could be added for places like the Aurum Vale. That way we could have magitek mounts in specific zones, and keep the clomping of machinery out of topside Eorzea.

Here is the Aurum Vale for people that haven't seen it, and be warned it's spoilers of a sort (zone not yet accessible in-game.)

I'd prefer if magitek was restricted to certain zones (ie. within the Garlean empire). Also, Magitek should not be summon-able remotely by whistling or any other method.

I really like the idea of using to traverse certain inhospitable terrain.

Magitek Armor seems like a great idea. I can't really think of any other mounts for this game. How would it work though? An Idea I have is to allow is to partake quests to collect all of the parts to build one. Aside from a mount people can use, certain features can be restricted to certain classes....like:

DoH using Magitek Armor can gather materials from places only Magitek Armor can get to. Or maybe material too hard for normal tools to penetrate

Story wise we're already well on our way to acquiring that kind of technology ourselves. I imagine once we figure out how to make it we'll start making Eorzean style magitek machines. It's pretty much confirmed right there that we'll see those kinds of mounts. As to what form they'll take, that's a completely different matter. I mean they won't look the same as the Garlean ones I would imagine so they kind of have a blank slate to work with here.
