I disagree with ya. Lots of hairstyles are made to look pretty around certain features of the face and people flock to those. Making the same hairstyles for everyone will make everyone use the "samey" hairstyles all the more.

Your logic makes no sense.

Group x has 10 hairstyles to choose from.
Group y has a different 10 hairstyles to choose from.
Group z has access to all 20 hairstyles.

The odds of a group x member having the same hairstyle as another group x member are 1:10.
The odds of a group y member having the same hairstyle as another group y member are 1:10.
The odds of a group z member having the same hairstyle as another group z member are 1:20.

It's inane to think that opening up all hairstyles to all races will make everyone look samey.

And yet, the original elezen-only "new" hairstyle (the long, parted hair with the single braid in the back) is by far the most common hairstyle I see, yet when it was elezen-only, elezen barely wore it. People pick favorites. If they released all of the hairstyles to everyone, you bet you would see 3 or 4 way way more than the others, because people would pick their favorites instead of choosing the best out of the hand dealt to them.


Personally it's just hair so I think it should be open to everyone. Though I wouldn't be opposed to hairstyle with actual substance like a geisha updo for au ra ladies or a samurai top knot for au ra men, or a French twist for elezen ladies or a pompadour for highlander men. Something with actual like cultural references to the races or actual meaning instead of just "Oh yeah apparently only elezen women can cram 40 pins into a generic (as opposed to iconic), flat, bob hairstyle." Like if they are going to give everyone something unique, make it worthwhile, instead of just slapping a restriction on something that was plain/simple to begin with.

I just wish we could only buy the hairstyles of some outfits in the cash shop. I only want the minfilla hairstyle, yet I'm forced to get the complete set.
