Getting rid of the places they bot won't get rid of botters. As long as there is a desire for high ranked classes, crafted items, gathered items, etc., and people who know how to create a program for botting, plus the desire to use that knowledge, there will be bots.

botting wasn't the focus of my statement. the focus was on the fact that thy are the only ones that use the LL and grid wards, meaning link the wards or just do away with Grid and LL wards because botters are the only w=ones that use them. Sure they will bot somewhere else, but my statement was not about getting rid of botting.

None of this back and forth would have occurred if you're response to my original post wasn't so inflammatory. "I guess reading isn't your strong suit" was your comment. If you really think that this is the way reasonable people discuss things, then you really need to re-examine your basic perceptions.

Just to be sure, you've seen all the folks around here that cry about immersion, right? Wouldn't that create an immersion issue? (I'm not one of those folks, I'm just playing devil's advocate here.)

Whether they are used much or not is besides the point, but I actually like the idea of having separate wards in separate cities. When they are used, this creates a sort of separation of the economies in the different cities. Hopefully, some of the content they are adding will add to the usefulness of the wards outside of Uldah.

wel i can say that as of now my retainers are the only ones up in LL wards, so ive taken the first step. indirectly though, i brought them there so i could put survival manuals on them

any ways if they link them they could do something like paying a delivery tax and waiting a time limit for airship delivery. Have it so you have to check the item search counter by each city(buy from the counter as you obviously cant enter another citys market from a different city). they could also do something were the tax per city is adjusted via sales/popularity. and there you go, immersion solved.

That's true, but we have to consider why they aren't used. Currently that's because there aren't many reasons to hang out in the cities other than Uldah, but with the new company content that's coming amongst other things, that will change. It might not change much but there will be at least a bit more incentive to place your retainers there.
