They are changing everyone who isnt a potato into a potato, and anyone that is already a potato (why would you play as one in the first place is beyond me) into a walking banana.

They probably don't give too many details, partly because we don't really need to know about changes behind the scenes, but also because no matter how they worded it, a lot of players would misunderstand.

For example if they said they were upgrading some of the servers to add more capacity (something they probably do from time to time just to keep up with the growth even if they don't tell us), some people would only see the word capacity and that is being upgraded and then in a months time people would be demanding more inventory space because they upgraded their capacity a while back and why can they still not store more items.

I'm probably explaining badly and it probably even sounds far fetched, but SE are always very careful about what information they release, probably because whenever they change their mind about something, the community has a go at them for something they said 2 years earlier, even though at the time what they said was probably true, but things have since changed...
